Hi people on hitched!!

i'm doing some research into budgets so i would be extremely grateful if you could all reveal your budgets for your weddings!(coming up or already wed...all are welcome!)

what you got with your budget...(venue, food, decorations etc etc!)

and what your understanding of a small, medium and large budget are (such as small £100 is that too ambitious!?) and what your expectations would be from these budgets

Still working on it but we hope to get everything for £8000-£10,000 ballpark figure.

This includes up to 65 for the wedding breakfast and 170 for the evening reception with a barn dance, at a venue in the New Forest.

Ours will be around £5000 not including small bits bought monthy eg ribbon, candles etc

Hi Fayeo,

I recently retired as a professional event and wedding planner so did a little research in the is area myself. There is a free budget planner available to download from my website at www.mybigoccasion.co.uk that you might find useful.

We spent approx £22,000 on our own wedding day back in 2008. Bearing in mind that I was a professional planner, did most of it myself and received huge discounts from friends in the wedding industry, I guess we had a £30,000 wedding! Was a great day though...! ?
