Marrieds -what did you do for your 1st Anniversary

We were on holiday in Washington DC so spent the day sightseeing before going for cocktails and a Thai meal.

We went for a long weekend to Reims in France; the Champagne region.

On our actual anniversary we did a champagne tour and had a tasting session?

Sounds good!

On our first anniversary we just stayed at home and I made a nice 3 course meal and we had a bottle of bubbly - we'd just got back from holiday (I wanted to go so we were away on the day, but it clashed with H's football coaching commitments) and couldn't be bothered to go out as we'd been eating out all the previous week.

This year for our second anniversary we will be in San Diego so will have to find somewhere special for a meal.

Funny you should ask as its ours this weekend. We have the Sunday night booked into the hotel we had our reception (anniversary is Monday). No plans for Monday but we'll find something out and about to do rather than stay home and garden!

We went to Venice

I spent it being as big as a house, not able to put my own shoes on, and in hospital for monitoring.

We're going to the hotel where we got engaged and MrSC is taking me to see the birdies at the Cotswold Falconry centre ?

It's our first wedding anniversary on the 5th May. We're going away on the 14th so that's our present to each other. We never had a honeymoon so I can't wait. ?

We went to V festival with friends and it peed down all weekend.

We just went out for dinner.

Today: MrMG had a wanid="black">k in a pot first thing, whilst I had a doctor spend 30 mins scraping around my ovaries under a general anaesthetic.

Actually one thing is ? - if the whole thing works, we'll be able to say we conceived on our anniversary. Albeit from a distance of about 10 miles from the petri dish concerned ?

We gave each other paper gifts. I bought Mr M a English poetry anthology and put a rose postcard, with a gushy message marking the page of a poem he quoted to me during his speech. He gave me paper roses and Nigella's Feast.

We stayed here the night before and visited our wedding venue (3 miles away) on our anniversary, finishing the day with afternoon tea before driving home.

Those were the romantic days. ?

We are going to Las Vegas and New York for our 1st wedding anniversary. We will be in Vegas on our actual anniversary

We went to the tranquil otter in Cumbria for a long weekend
I had a custom stamp made for J at staples, it says "Jb approved" and he loves it ?

We went to London and went to museums in the day, then to see the Lion King musical in the evening, then had a night in a hotel. ?

We were in Cambodia and went to the Foreign Correspondant's Club in Phnom Penh for a meal.

We went to a safari park and then for a curry.

We went to The Cardynham for the weekend (not the pool room) and it was lovely, had the best breakfast I've ever had in any hotel.

I also bought him ice skating tickets for Somerset House as a paper present.

Went to london for the weekend to see Lord of the Rings at its opening night at the theatre and then went to see Muse at Wembley the next day ?

We just had a failed IVF cycle... and cancelled all plans for romance. Then hubby surprised me with tickets to see Grease whilst havin a romantic breakfast in our garden...which was fun...and we got Thai takeout on the way home?

No idea. Our son was 6 months old. Probably went out for a meal or to the theatre. Mr JK will know.

I bought H 2 tickets to Liverpool vs Chelsea at Anfield as it was on our anniversary. We then spent 2 nights in Chester and spent the next day at Chester Zoo drinking pints of Magners and eating burgers from the barbeque there. It was a great weekend and stuck with the paper theme ??

H bought me a diamond ring and the certificate that came with it was the "Paper" element of the anniversary.

Its a shame that the rest of the days since then haven't been so happy ?

We're spending two nights at the hotel where we had our reception, they offered a fab deal, we couldn't refuse. On the actual day (Monday) we're just going for a drink and bite to eat with friends.

We had a long weekend in Dublin
