    Mr Marla took me out for a meal and I surprised him by booking us into a nice hotel near the restaurant and they upgraded us to a suite on account of it being our anniversary which was lovely. It was a really nice, warm day and we ended up drinking in the afternoon, having our lovely meal, drinking a bit more, and then I was sick in the s****y toilet of our hotel room. I'm what we call in the North East, a 'classy lass'!

    Our first child was 2 weeks old so we didn't do anything special.
    I can't remember very well but i think we got a take away for dinner that's it.
    We did plan to stay in the hotel we had on our wedding night but those plans went to pot when i got pregnant.

    Went to a wedding!

    Was lovely as it was in Ireland so we had a long weekend away and it totaly took away the need to to plan anything.

    I just had to get over the fact that it was also the only place H had been to with his ex girlfriend ?

    It was ours last monday?

    We rented a beautiful cottage in the Yorkshire Dales for a week - on our actaul anniversary we had a lovely lunch at a country house hotel then went for a walk around Fountain's Abbey. In the evening we stayed in the cottage and drank vat loads of champagne?

    I got Mr E a 'voucher' for top gear live tickets (as they're not on sale yet). He got me a beautiful bronze statue of a hare, and the saturday kitchen cookbook as a nod to the paper theme.

    It's our fifth anniversary in 3 weeks 😲 so it was a good while ago now!

    We went here, initially was meant to be for 2 nighs but as we both had the next day off work on the spur of the moment we made it 3 nights.

    It's a place we've been to twice before, the food was fantastic, I had the most delicious smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast every morning 😋 but we've not been again since.

    It was gorgeous weather and we drove up from Glasgow and around the whole weekend with the roof down on our wee 2 seater - ah those were the days, before baby came along!😄

    We went on holiday to Kenya and did a safari..the eve of our anniversary we were at treetops and so were woken very early on our actual anniversary by the alarm going off to say that there was Rhino outside.

    It was really romantic snuggled up under a blanket watching the Rhino whilst swigging champers H, had bought earlier on

    I got married again!

    We'd had a quick spur of the moment wedding in Vegas, and the following year on our anniversary had the big party with all our friends and family. Middle of winter, freezing cold, beside Lake Tekapo, then a quick whizz in a helicopter to the top of the Remarkables for some photos - I'm so glad I had my thermals and Ugg boots on! It happily coincided with the Lions tour of NZ, so we got everyone tickets to the matches whilst they were over too. ?

    Second anniversary I filed for divorce ?

    Ours too!

    We're doing bugger all. We're skinter than a skint thing at the moment, plus I'm up the duff, so we have precisely nothing planned. We're planning on going overboard on the 2nd anniversary, by which time the temporary skintness should be over, and I'll be able to drink champagne till it comes out of my ears.

    No romance here... I was asleep in bed with an ear infection and Mr S came and watched football on the tv in the bedroom. It was rubbish! We have had 2 others which have been nice though.

    We went on (late) summer holiday to Florence with my best mate and her hubby - they're the ones who got us together in the first place ?

    On the day we visited the Baptistery, ate lots of ice cream and went for a posh meal in the evening at a place that supposedly has the earliest known portrait of Dante on the walls [?]?

    Ours is in August of this year. We are staying at the Witchery again for two nights as we stayed there the night after our wedding last year.

    I really can't remember it was so long ago. We're celebrating out 11th on May 17th and for the past 10 I've booked and organised our anniversary 'treats'. This year I've decided that the OH can do it, so far nothing is booked apart from the babysitter (my mum) which I organised.[V]

    What I really wanted to do was a theatre trip to London, but I'm not sure if he's left it too late now, even though I've been reminding him since January.

    It's our 11th this year too! ?

    We moved to Newcastle from Devon on our 1st Anniversary (literally that day) and so we had a takeaway and a bottle of bubbly on the floor of our rented flat. We then went up to Berwick-upon-Tweed for the first weekend and stayed in a B&B called The Rob Roy which was the name of the film we went to see on our very first date. ?

    Last year I got a diamond eternity band and this year our anniversary is three days before his 40th so I think it'll be low-key and we'll have a big bash for him instead. ?

    No idea. Our son was 6 months old. Probably went out for a meal or to the theatre. Mr JK will know.

    First: Gala screening of Roman Holiday at the London Film Festival (talk about timing!), followed by meal in TGI Friday's (oh how romantic);
    Second: Billy Connolly live;
    Third: Slap-up meal at The Big Easy in the King's Road, followed by Broken Flowers in the cinema;
    Fourth: Tom Stoppard's play Rock'n'Roll starring some bloke that JK fancies;
    Fifth: Three-day trip to Budapest.

    What we got up to might be a bit ? twee for some, so look away if the cute stuff makes you [xx(]

    Today: MrMG had a wanid="black">k in a pot first thing, whilst I had a doctor spend 30 mins scraping around my ovaries under a general anaesthetic.

    Actually one thing is ? - if the whole thing works, we'll be able to say we conceived on our anniversary. Albeit from a distance of about 10 miles from the petri dish concerned ?

    We went to Paris for a long weekend. My sister bought us Eurostar vouchers for a wedding pressie and we hadn't got round to using them, so we booked a weekend trip to Paris for our First Anniversary with them. We got married in the winter too, and Paris is in the Winter is gorgeous. We'd only been in the Spring before so it was a completely different experience.

    Nothing. We were away though as it was Mr Z's dad and stepmum's silver wedding anniversary, so our anniversary got overlooked.

    I *think* H might have brought me home a jar of caviar-like stuff and sour cream and blinis that I was too poorly with morning all-day pregnancy sickness to enjoy.

    That might have been for my birthday though.

    Hmm, year 2 I got a ball of cotton wool from the bag that I bought to wipe my son's bum with.

    Who says romance is dead??
