Firstly i want you to know- i have wedding OCD, so the fact that i have the following booked/paid for is not normal........

Venue, Flowers, DJ & Band, Chair Covers, Favours, Table settings, Letter box, THE Dress & Shoes, Bridesmaids Dresses and shoes, Suits, Photographer, Hair & makeup, Car hire, Cake, Invites, Wedding rings, Honeymoon, Table confetti and attendants gifts.................

?

May 7th here!

Church booked and deposit paid. Venue booked and deposit paid. Dress chosen, 50% paid and material swatches received! Shoes bought aaaaaggggeeess ago. Veil chosen. Honeymoon decided upon but too early to book as we're going later on in the year. Colours decided on. Narrowing down bridesmaid dresses (short list of 3). Invitations decided upon and card swatches ordered. Fab HIB photographers booked, deposit paid, need to organise our pre-wedding shoot. Cheese cake chosen and soon to be ordered.

Currently considering rings, entertainment, hair/make up, transport. Not sure what else, if anything, there is to do now.

Start making my origami bouquet (it's going to take forever, lol)

Nag h2b about choosing ushers (or as he calls them, moshers)
Start collecting Sci Fi memorabilia for the centrepieces
Think about how to design the invitations

Church, Reception, Buffet, DJ, Decor, Cars x2, Wedding dress, Suits x10 booked, Wedding Ring (family heirloom), Shoes & Shoe applique, Honeymoon to Jamaica, Save the Dates sent, Seating plan, First Dance, Wedding Cake, Photography, got a few little bits like Cufflinks & Cravat Pins etc

Left to do but sorted on paper:

Formal invitations, H2B's Ring, BM Dresses (Landybridal), Wishing Tree, Post Box, Favours, Flowers, possible entertainment, Hair Trial, Make up Trial, BM/PB/Usher/BMan Gifts, Videographer

Not really got much left to pay for either tbh, hoping to have it all paid by Xmas

bought my dress, booked church, booked and paid deposit for venue, bought bridesmaid dresses, booked flowers, provisionally booked caterer, booked photographer, got a quote for buses

I'm waiting on....

talking to our coordinator at the venue to sort dj, chair covers, table dec possibly.

Writing this down it doesn't seem enough.....I'm sure I have more done

I think it's easier to say what we still need to do -

1. Suits

2. Rings

Everything else is booked or sorted but we still need to finalise the finishing touches with suppliers i.e. confirm what flowers we wanted even though florist booked.

Ordered and paid for dress (it arrived the other day so went to try it on but not having it altered until feb)

Ordered and paid for bridesmaid dresses

Booked and paid half of honeymoon

Booked venue and paid deposit

Booked photographer and paid deposit

Booked DJ and paid deposit

Ordered rings and paid half

Booked florist and paid deposit

Booked registrar and given notice

Started buying bits to make my own stationary (having a 1st attempt atthem with my bridesmaid in october)

When its written like that I seems like I've done quite a lot but still feels like theres so much to do! Its good to see what you've all done and have still got to do as it helps know what I still need to sort! lol!

Oohh twinnies, im 21 May 2011. I've booked most things now been planning for over a year. I only have the following left to book..

chair covers

buy rings

order bridesmaid dresses (Already chosen them tho)

mens suits

make stationary (waiting for stuff to be delievered)

book hair and make up (think ive pretty much choosen this too!)

START MY DIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!ARGH

I'm getting married May 7th 2011. So far i have the following sorted:

Ceremony - booked

Night time venue - booked

Dress - fully paid for (due in just after xmas)

Cake - ordered (to be collected day before wedding)

DJ - booked

Hair - sorted

Shoes - sorted (boots)

Wedding rings - ordered

Wedding album - made

Invitations - half way through making

Favours - fabric bought just need to cut and get making

Transport - to sort (but know exactly who's getting asked to do the job)

Harley Davison ride out - to finalise in February

Save the date thingies - sent out

Make decor for wedding cake (awaiting dimensions of cake)

I think thats everything so far. Have i done too much or too little?? (also, other half has his outfit all sorted, and we're not having bridesmaids lol)

Its good to see theres more of you out there! I thought i was on my own ? How far have your plans come?

I know i may of been a little too organised but it was pure excitement! We sent out our invites the beginning of December, hoping to beat the Christmas and New Year. Got a lot of responses but as always people will need to be chased or reminded.

Everyone said once Christmas comes time will go so fast, the diaries already getting booked up with dates until the day already!

Any May brides got their dresses yet? I ordered mine at the start of Sept and told myself they would be in the shop before christmas - waiting patiently every day now for THE call!!!! I'm so impatient I just cant wait to try my dress on properly for the first time because sample dress was a size 10 and so I was walking about the shop with my bra and pants on show!! lol

Yes I have my dress! I was too excited and found my dress November last year and picked it up just last month. Now just got to make sure i keep the same size! ?

Its a Justin Alexander, strapless with a bit of bling, quite 50's but full length. Ohhhhhhhh your so lucky to hve your dress!!!! Jealous!!!

Tbh I bought my dress in August 09 just after I booked the venue!

I just walked into a bridal shop randomly one day and fell in love with the Justin Alexander number that's from the 2008 range so d/c now. I have never seen another dress I love more so all good!!

A fellow Justin Alexander bride! Mine is discontinued too, its 3841 I think. I saw it in the window of my local dress shop and knew straight away it was going to be mine!!!

I've never seen anyone wear this dress before. They said they'd never sold one but I would have paid thousands for it, I love it!

27th May, I think that weekend is really popular for weddings! I lave how his dresses are a bit different to most of the other dresses out there, but absolutely stunning too. Can't wait to see mine again.

Yup BH weekend.

We picked it as we had to have a Sunday due to the small numbers for our civil ceremony.

Seeing this post again I've realised that I've done very little since September ? Need to get a to-do list going I think!

My dress was the last of 21 that i tried on and fell in love with it. The dress is by Pronovias and was being discontinued too so i couldnt think of finding something more beautiful! Its definately true that when you find the one you know. ?

May 7th for me. I thought I had done loads but have just written a to-do list and it's huge! Doesn't help that I lost all enthusiasm for a couple of months and have only just got it back, so I've got some catching up to do!

Almost finished my invites, i can't wait to send them out.
