I'm really worried as the last month has gone by in a flash!

I've got a few bits done recently, but really worried as don't know what I'm doing about my centrepieces

It seems whatever I try and do at the moment, I hit across a problem and I get upset

    How are you doing?

I'm being pretty organised-ish! Most of the big things sorted now. I think it's going ever so slow though ☹️ How are you plans coming along?

    Hiya Ladies!

flowmojo - SNAP, I'm 26th May also, cannot wait!

I have everything done and just started on the evening invites last night with my sister, she is BM and very good at arty things so I am very lucky there. I have another sister who is CBM organising the hen party for April and my mum is in charge of pretty much everything else!!! I dove straight in when we got engaged last year and so have pretty much nothing to do now, glad its only 9 months to go cos I can just spread out the stationery making and fingers crossed it will fly by!

Try not to get too stressed NurseBride, have a wee rant and rave on here! x

    I'll try not to!

I thought I had the invite design sorted, but showed Mum my pen drawing the other night and she didn't seem impressed ☹️ Ho hum.

    I can't believe it's 9 months tomorrow!

    Hi all! I'm monday 14th ?

I'm in a bit of a lull too. I'm planning a small 'destination' style wedding so invites have already gone out. Its my sister's wedding this saturday (SO excited!!) so our planning seems to have dipped a bt in the run up to theirs. I'm not really sure whats next- dates are in suppliers diaries but everyone is so relaxed out there- I think I need to get things sorted but venue/ florist/ cake maker etc just say to sort details out in the new year so cant think of much to do!

    Check list so far:

My dress sorted, shoes sorted veil needs sorting but I know what I want

OH's suit done- now just need to order the Dads'

Venue booked but dont need to decide on food till next year

Florist booked but again havent chosen final details

    Invites OUT!

    Accommodation booked

    Rings made

    Soon to do:

Decide what we're doing about photography- a couple of our guests are very keen photogrphers (one semi professional so currently thinking/ hoping htey'll cover much of the day then we'll book about an hour with an island based professional for a shoot on the beach.)

Get a BM dress- we've been struggling with this- want a sort of cornflowerish blue and can only find things I like on Dessy and I really dont want to pay their prices.

I'm also having a flower girl but I've seenplenty of potential dresses so I'm just going to leave that to nearer the time to get a better fit.

ummmm.... ideas please of what else needs doing 9 months in advance!!

I was originally a march bride but now a may bride, I'm kinda in limbo though. I cancelled my big grand wedding as my oh is concerned about his job security (he works in financial sector) I won't go into details as there is a separate thread about my issues. We have booked our flights to get married in lake Garda before we realised that the uk venue were going to react the way they did. Everything should hopefully be resolved in the next few days according to trading standards, apparently up until know the venue wasn't returning calls or acknowledging TS letters but they finally spoke to MD yesterday. I'm still making plans in the background, I have nat from inspire me designs working on invitation designs as I want invites to go ASAP to give guests plenty of time. Worst case senario we have a holiday and get married on our own and have a receprion back that won't break the bank. I was meant to go bridesmaid shopping on sat but have cancelled until I get further word from venue . So I feel I have lost my wedding mojo a bit.....

Wow! So many other May 26th brides out there! I feel like I've got ages to go and I'm getting a bit worried now I see what you other busy brides have been up to. OH hasn't even thought about suits, I haven't seen a florist and I still have no idea about invites!

But I ordered the dress yesterday so that's the main thing ?

The Isles of Scilly, they're British, just off the cornish coast- thats why I put 'destination' in '' as they're not technically abroad- just 'over-seas!' so our notice is exactly as anyone else getting married in a different district to where they live.

Sorry I cant be more help- it sounds like you have a lot of things on your plate-I hope you manage to get it all sorted.

19th May woooooooo 9 months tomorrow.

I have been in a bit of a lul of late, only coming on hicthed rarely but in the last week or so i've started to think more about some of the smaller details I need to sort. I actually had all the big things done by Jan (except for my dress) so didnt really have anything to do for a while.

I am going to look at bridesmaid dresses next saturday so hopefully that will be another tick in a box.

I feel like i want a little project so i am debating making either crochet hearts or roses to go on the favours for guests to take home.......only i dont know how to crochet so i think my mum may have to teach me.....

17th May here in Antigua, sooo looking forward to being on holiday there. As for planning, the holiday/ wedding/ honeymoon is all booked for everyone. Dress sorted, party back home on 16th June sorted, this includes menu table stuff, drinks etc

Bridesmaids dresses picked but not ordered, invites nearly done, currently researching photographer for Antigua and I think that's about it!

And we only got engaged in June! Wedding fever has completely taken me by surprise!

I seen gorgeous ones that matched my bridemaids but they were over £300 - such a waste for one day though. I got mines from Next, they have some really nice ones online, and were only £36 - which I think is more than enough considering, you wont see them for my dress and im only going to wear em once cos i NEVER wear ivory shoes. Plus they are high enough to make me normal next to H2B (im 5ft4 he is 6ft3) and super comfy!!! x

Another 12th May bride here! Big hello to my date twins, johnandkymberley and xtlcx - also a big hello to ScillyB2B who is my pretend date twin ?

I have most things booked and deposits paid, but will obviously need to sort out finer details early next year.

    Still to arrange is:

guest book (picked but not bought)

    veil (picked but not bought)

    underskirt (picked but not bought)

favours (we're making jam closer to the time)

hotel room (for night before and night of wedding - really need to move my ar$e on this one!)

maid of honour and flower girl outfits (FG is easy as BHS whatever age she is wearing at the time; but MOH is TTC, so will need to hold off on dress buying until maybe one month before)

    kilt (H2Bs job)

That's it really. I should get a call in January to say my dress is in. That's the cue to go to the cake makers and finalise our design and flavour choice, arrange meeting with TOG at venue, pick menu options, etc. We give notice in February, and we're probably sending our invites out at Christmas, with evening invites going out at the beginning of March I think.

    Another 26th May bride here.

Haven't been on here much lately, oopps.

    Can't beleilved it's only 9 months away ?

I've got dress, flowers, venue, photographer, cake and car sorted.

Have given notice, just need to pick it up and deliver it to the District we are getting married.

Now need to sort out invites and get OH to sort out suits. Haven't really done much for the last couple of months as we are back living with the folks at the moment while looking for a house to buy. I know house moving is stressful, but never thought it would be so difficult to find an actual house to buy!!?

Can't wait to start doing wedding stuff again

Another date twin ? hi there , 9 months today MrsDWT and NurseBride2B!!!

We are sending our invites out in Feb aswell, have done STD cards for people who will need to travel (most of our family is in Essex/Bucks and we live in Scotland)

I'm quite organised I think, venue, reception, catering all sorted. Ordered my dress last week, very excited about that, band booked for evening, favours nearly all made and starting on my invitations etc this weekend. OH still needs to sort kilts and stuff and I need to get BM dresses but otherwise pretty much ready to go!

    Hi,

I joined Hitched a while ago but have only just started coming into the forums too and now cant stop coming on!! Just been trying to sort out my wedding ticker, not sure if its showing yet?!

My wedding is on 26th May, when I had a year to go it seemed like ages but now the months keep going really quick and I cant wait!

Got my dress sorted but not the shoes etc, decided on the bm dresses and they r going to get measured soon, photographer booked, ceremony & reception, cake sorted, make up lady booked & hair, transport booked. Going to start looking for suits in Sept.
