May 2012 - Time to get my ass back into every wedding and diet! Hmpff

haylee81, 3 January, 2012 at 11:21 Posted on Planning 0 11

So it's now the 3rd January and I still can't seem to get motivated despite gearing myself up. My diet was supposed to have kicked in 3 days ago but I just can't seem to resist temptation of all the goodies still lurking in my cupboard. I want to lose at least 2 stone and have 4 months to do it, why can't I be rich and get a personal trainer. My invitations have been sat on my kitchen table for at least a week now begging to be wrote in but my pen doesn't seem to want to touch the paper. I thought once January kicked in I'd be racing to start things but it hasn't turned out that way. Anyone got any tips on getting me to shift my giant ass?!

I'm in a very similar situtation.... Hoping that today is my day to start, and so far so good. I got in the scales this morning and that frightened me, never seen numbers so big!!! eeeek

Just think of you dress, and how it would be so satisfying to go for your fitting and it needs taking in ?

I have my fitting in 3 weeks lol. Somehow don't think I'll have shed a stone by then unless in my dreams ?

My scales give me a different reading every 2 days usually I'm about 8lbs heavier than the last time I checked lol, so I've given up on them.

Feel the exact same I want to lose between a stone and a stone and a half, but I'm really rubbish at motivating my self and have no willpower! I've told my OH not to let me drink wine and do not let me open a box chocolates no matter how much I protest! We'll see If that works lol!

Every time i can't be bothered to go to the gym i think about how disappointed i would feel if i look back at my wedding pictures and regret not losing a little more or not toning up a little more!

I have my first fitting on 28th jan so i would like to lose a few pounds by then! I only need to lose about 8/9 pounds to get back the weight i was when i picked the dress last feb so not a huge amount however still hard work..the diet has started today so we shall see!

    good luck to everyone!

Yeah, I tried this. And since boxing day (or the day after, which makes it worse!) I've got through a box of Roses, a box of Terrys All Gold and the Quality Street are now open......oops. Figure if I eat them all now there will be no more temptation left in the house when I'm done ?

Are you all starting your fittings soon then? My dress is in the shop but each time I've been to see it (twice), the lady's said that it won't need altering.

Of course, I'm sure it'd be a bit tighter at the moment... ?

I think normally you have more than one fitting, i had some length added to mine so first fitting i have to take my shoes so they can make sure the length is perfect, second fitting nearer the time is probably to check your weight hasn't changed too much, esp if your dieting...i haven't tried my dress on since i ordered it last feb so i am really looking forward to putting it back on!

The lady's a bit rubbish with me, and doesn't seem to be interested, so I think Mum and I might go at the end of the month to try it on with everything, and then maybe take it home then. I really don't know what will be best

Cut out alcohol, processed food, cut right down on your carbs and watch the weight fall off. Good luck all ?
