May 2013 wedding twins?

Meeeee! I'm getting married on the 4th May. Just trying to sort out bridesmaid dresses at the mo, but I think we have found one. Off for my hair and makeup trial on monday which is exciting!

Yay! Our date is 3rd May. So much to do. We can't even decide on a colour scheme, and whether or not to even have a colour scheme! When do you plan to send your invitations out?

We're not having a colour scheme as such, just going for natural colours. We are(weather permitting!) getting married in a woodland with a barn for the reception- we are both very outdoorsy people. I think we are going to send out invitations in the new year with an RSVP for the beginning of March. I want to get stuff sorted early so I can just be excited before the wedding and not trying to do too many things. Just trying to sort out the invitations now- we are going to email them (more wine less postage!)

Have you looked for bridesmaids dresses yet- I have found this really hard!!

Ahh, your wedding setting sounds lovely. It's important to have what you want, not what everybody else wants you to have don't you think?

I thought we'd send out invitations in the New Year too.

I'm having one adult bridesmaid and three little flower girls (my nieces). Flower girls will be really easy to dress - already found some adorable little dresses but struggling to decide on the adult dress. Need to take her to try some on I think. How many bridesmaids do you have?

We still need to find and book tog and vog, hairdresser, choose vows and music and florist. Should have it all done by the morning!!

We are getting married on 25th May, I’m feeling organised venue, church, cars, photographer and DJ booked. Flowers, my dress, bridesmaid dresses and men’s suits ordered. I have also done a wedding website on gettingmarried.co.uk and started to send my invites out.

It’s starting to feel very real now the invites are going out and we have received two acceptance cards!

I'm having two adults bridesmaids and a flower girl. As you say, the little un will be easy its just finding a dress in the right colour for the adults it proving harder (buying on the high street)

Wow 2BMrsPrice you are organised, with your invites already out. I'm only just starting to think of wording for mine!!

We're getting married on 11th May - the countdown is on! We've sorted most things but we are both ultra organised people so I don't think that's the norm! I think we're about to hit a bit of a lull in the organisation now until after new year but Christmas is a big distraction and once that is over it will be just over 4 months and it will all seem a bit real again!

I tried my dress on again last night while I was getting measured - soooo exciting!

We're 31 May. Sent STDs a year in advance, intend to send invitations in late January.

We've decided on most things, but not booked/bought so much yet. No bridesmaids, so that's one less thing to worry about. Roughly, this is where we're at...

Booked/bought: Venue, registrar and caterer (everything in one place), my dress and shoes, photographer, our overnight accommodation.

Decided, but not booked/bought: Honeymoon (need to book the flights this weekend before prices go up much more), cake (M&S, so no rush), rings, table decorations and seating plan, flowers, music for reception.

Not decided: OH's suit (going shopping in January for that), invitations, music for ceremony.

Well thank you all ladies. Seeing how organised you all are has indeed encouraged me to make some decisions and get this wedding planned! Possibly not the most important item on the list, but I just ordered a beautiful pair of ivory ballet pumps to sneak on for the dancing in the evening.

Christmas will have to take a back seat for a bit.

I'm 18th May. Nearly everything done just need to order rings, finish my brooch bouquet, order evening invites and put favours together but as they are sweets it can't be done until next year!!! 180 days to go!!!!

I'm 12th May. We have all the big things sorted, and know what we're doing for pretty much everything else, it's just the actual doing of things that we're struggling with! Next on the agenda is choosing our music, we're having difficulty with this one, we just can't agree!

I'm another for 18 May We have done pretty much all of the big things, going to get rings and start looking for things such as shoes and accessories for me and bridesmaids in the new year. My dress should come in then too so going to order a veil from pink margaret once I've tried it on again and decided what type to get.

We've finished making our invites at last so starting to give these out over the next month or so. I do need to sort out hair/make up sooner rather than later as I'm a bit worried about people being booked up...

Most things sorted but so stuck on bmaids dresses. Flowers and other decorations ar all pale golds/cream and white but want som colour for my bridesmaids!

I haven't managed to find an actual 'date twin' yet, so I'm adopting tulleprincess and Jinglebride for the job - I'm May 10th!

We are bimbling along one step at a time, and have done the following:

Booked/bought: Church, venue, food, drinks, marriage license, TOG, VOG, wedding dress, BM dresses, DJ, live music, accomodation, chairs(?!), invitations, honeymoon

On the way: Flowers (appointment this week), cake (appointment next week)

Yet to do: Accessories (shoes, veil, tiara, jewellery etc), post box for cards, garden games for drinks reception, mens' suits, favours..

I'm sure I've forgotten things?! We're going to post out our invitations in the first New Year post - we're hoping that our wedding date will be the first thing people can put in their 2013 diary! xxx

Ohhhhh yay - that's 4 brides I know now for my date

I am 4th May. We have booked church, venue, honeymoon, photographer. Bought rings, my dress and accessories, in process of sending Save the Dates and more but I can't think right now!

Im 24th May

I have my dress ordered, bridesmaid dresses brought. (Lipsy do some really pretty dress mine were only £65 each!) photographer, venues, registrar.

Still got so much to do! Going to book our honeymoon and stag/hen do's at the end if this month!

I'm 4th May too. May the fourth be with you! Anyone getting married on the 4th having a star wars themed wedding? I'm not a geek but my OH really is! If he had his way he'd be walking down the aisle to star wars dressed as obi wan or something. Doesn't bare thinking about!

Anyways, regarding planning, I think we're doing alright so far, doesn't stop me from stressing about how much there is left to do though. Of course my OH is pretty chilled out about everything, he doesnt realise how much there is to sort out, the smaller things like favours, table decorations etc !

So far we have sorted Venue, registrar and given notice, Wedding and BM dress, my shoes, flowers (1/2 done), photographer, auntie doing hair and makeup, rings bought, transport, using marks and spencers for wedding cake (had a taster last week and it was lovely!), invitations are pretty much ready to send.

Things to sort nearer the time: flowergirl dress, my tiara, order cake, men's suits, I know there's prob plenty more but cant think at the mo!

doing ok i think i have arranged venue, registrar, giving notice next week, my dress and shoes the photograther the dj all booked! ordered some flower girl dresses x3 my little girls and i have 1 bridemaid still to sort. flowers ordered, my auntie is buying our wedding rings as she works for a company in london.

things to still sort atr h2b suit and my little boys (bestman) car to take me to the venue accessories for my hair and trail for hair sending out save the date magnets this week will send invites in jan. get h2b off his arse to give me his guest list! lol (too many friends)

oh and then paying for the lot!!! better not forget that!?

I've sorted: venue (ceremony & reception are in one place) which includes food and some drink, registrar, wedding cake, my dress, dj, half the honeymoon (we're planning to travel round italy/austria), sweet cart (which we're also using as favours) and a magician (he does close up tricks, not sawing the bride in half! ? )

I'm close to sorting: photographer, bridesmaid's dresses

I seem to spend every waking hour looking at invitations at the moment. I was going to get them made but decided against it because of cost, then I thought we'd make our own from scratch but realised we know nothing about printing/cutting/designing etc. I have so many ideas about what I'd like but no money or skills to be able to actually do them! I think we've now decided on a compromise and are going to use pureinvitation.co.uk and attempt to just assemble the pocketfolds ourselves. I keep telling myself that even I can manage to stick some bits of card together, the videos make it look so easy after all...

Has everyone sorted MUA/hair? I still haven't and am now starting to worry about availabilty...

We have made our invites and are in the process of giving them out We made pocketfolds and they weren't as difficult as I thought they would be!

Tulleprincess - I'll challenge you to that title! But I'm not too worried. We have the basics of a wedding: a venue, a registrar, a dress and a honeymoon, so no matter what happens we have a wedding! The rest of the details will come together. This thread has served to remind me how much there is to organise though!

All i no about my hair is that my aunties hairdresser is doing it for me not sure how to have ut yet either! i dont no if i want a MUA yet it would be nice but im not sure.

oh and ive organised my cake too! it looks simular to my avatar except im having the bottom 2 tiers and the top will be baby pink and i have cupcakes with it.

Invites were sent last friday and received 4 RSVPs back so far. MUA and hair is all booked, just need to book my trial and actually pick my hairstyle - I can't decide between 2 and they are completely different!!!

Next big things is rings and apart from that can't do much else until all RSVPs have been received or we get closer to the wedding!!!

I am not having a Star War's themed wedding but my fiance is a total geek too (more for comic books) I just thought that May 4th was easy to remember so he will never forget our anniversary ?

I am getting married on the 5th May.

May 27th here! And I have everything booked and ordered, The only main thing to do is make and send the invitations in the new year. But I am a freakishly organised person, 6 months is enough time to get everything done.

(Although I do keep having wedding dreams where I an 2 hours late, then realise I forgot to book a registrar or have my hair done!) : ^ )

Jade87, the wedding dreams are horrible aren't they?! I used to have loads but I haven't had one for a while. I've probably jinxed myself now though!
