May 2015 brides?

Not at all!!!! I am getting married the day before you! EEEKKK!!!

I pretty much have everything booked, I did all the big stuff 2 years in advance, I'm an organised & impatient so a deadly combination lol

We've done pretty much everything ceremony and venue wise. Just need to get all the outfits :-) I am so excited to try on a wedding dress but thinking of waiting until about November to look at them, gives me a little time to lose my jelly belly aha!

Officially we have only been engaged for 3 weeks but i knew about the proposal and we've been planning and sorting stuff out for about 6 months already. We have only told about parents the date we've booked as i don't want people to think i'm bridezilla!

I'm so impatient! I'm counting down the months but it feels ages ago! xx

I got married last February, and had booked the big things by the May as I was so excited but also scared of losing the people I wanted haha I also bought my dress in October, it's currently hanging in M&FIL 3rd bedroom haha

People that call you bridezilla are usually jealous or have no clue what is involved in planning so don't listen to them - my sister calls me it all the time and it gets me really angry but then I read posts on here or articles in magazines and realise that I'm not a bridezilla I'm just organised and would like to have a relatively calm run up to the wedding.

It's so exciting and congrats on the engagement, I couldn't stop looking at my ring for months! even now I smile when I look at it!

I was dying to tell everyone especially parents but my h2b was trying to plan the perfect proposal (We have 3 kids so hardly go out just the 2 of us). To be honest though i am so glad that he "unofficially" asked me 6 months before it gave us that time to ourselves to talk about what we want ect without family voicing there opinion.

I'm getting married in Nottingham in a church were my parents were married, my Nan & Granddad were married & my great grandparents so it means a lot to me ( a little gutted there isnt church bells though, its just a recording aha)

-I'm the same i find myself just staring at my ring and smiling. Its such an amazing feeling. xx

We're getting married on 9th May 2015. We booked our venue a month ago and have just started booking appointments for other things. Seems like ages away but I know it's going to come around quickly! This past month has flown by! We're so excited!! xx

Hi, we're getting married on May 23rd and I've already booked a venue, a photographer, brought my wedding dress and ordered invites! There is so much I want to do now but want to hold off as well so that I have other things to excited about!

We're September 2015, but I just wanted to make it absolutely clear that you're not crazy (we started planning in 2012!)

Things move a tad quicker in the wedding world I think. If it makes you feel any better we have a few 2016 bookings as well so don't feel like you're booking super far in advance or that suppliers might not be interested, they will ?. Anything up to around 2 years before the big day is fairly normal.

We are date twins Im getting married at Hilton Northampton. You are defiantely not crazy in booking things so far in advance we have booked our venue and registrar,booked photographer, decided on flowers, centre pieces and room decorations, sorted cake my aunty is making it as a gift,sent out save the dates,asked my regular hairdresser to do me and mums hair. All we have left to do is give notice of our marriage 1 year before,OH suits, my dress and shoes,book makeup artist.

I'm another May 2015 bride (28th), we've got most things booked, certainly the big things that we knew we wanted are all deposited!

I like to be organised, I've got my folders, colour coded labels, everything in boxes is labelled lol!

2nd May 2015 here!

We got engaged last November and booked the church within 2 weeks and everything else has followed! I ordered the Save the Date cards within 2 weeks too and I'm not sending them out unitl exactly 1 year before!

Church, venue, TOG, flowers, photobooth, main part of favours ordered, small details like vintage suitcase for cards and table plan etc all sorted.

Things like rings and dress will come later in the year but things that can be made by myself like invitations and favours etc I am getting as soon as possible so they are all done and ready and don't have to worry about them like a week before the wedding!

We're on the 30th - I cannot believe how quickly its approaching! So far we have booked the venue/food package, toast master, flowers and cars. We are meeting with a photographer this weekend so hopefully that will be booked soon also ? I feel fairly organised but there is sooooo much more to do. It’s all so exciting though ?

Hi, We're the 30th May too! Got engaged last September and its already nearly 6 months down the line, it flies by doesnt it. People keep telling me it'll go quickly and despite my protests that 'noooo we've got ages', I think they might be right! We have our church and venue booked, photographer and band are sorted now, and we've got our save the dates ordered, and we finally agreed on and picked our invitations (though we wont be ordering these for quite a few months yet) We dont have to decide on our food/wine menu for ages and ages. I went wedding dress shopping with my mom for the first time last Saturday and it was so much fun, n think I may have found one I love so going back to try it (and a few others!) on in a couple of weeks...I'm hoping we'll get to go visit some florists in April time...Its great planning everything, I'd happily have it all sorted now and just sit back and relax, but Im trying not to be a crazy 'I wwant it all done now' lady ?

Its nice actually though to see that you other May brides to be are in a similar planning boat!

i got engaged last August and am getting married 22nd may 2015!it is coming around so quick! So far got my reception venue, church,cars,suits, cake and photographer. Trying to find a stationary supplier at the minute!not planning on looking for a dress till later in the year!

Has anyone got any honeymoon ideas or booked their honeymoon?i want to go long haul but not sure where is hot this time of year! Any suggestions??

Oh wow, we got engaged last September We've started looking at honeymoons also but we are trying to book the 'big' wedding bits first so we can try to work out our honeymoon budget with whatever we have left

We are next on to
-transport(almost sorted on this)

-and for me shoes its a right pain getting footwear for me!!

Hiya, another May bride here - I'm getting married on 2nd May 2015 and pretty much everything booked as we want to pay off our suppliers each month so we don't have a massive bill just before the wedding.

I'm quite enjoying trawling through the likes the etsy and e-bay finding/purchasing all the little fun/decorative bits. I like to buy something (even if its small) each month so I get excited waiting for it to arrive and our spare bedroom is definitely looking more and more like an Aladdin's Cave of wedding stuff haha x

It's nice to find a date twin! We just got our invitations delivered - I know that it's really early but they are the ones we want and we got a good discount on them as well! Going to settle down buying things for the moment!

Hi dollardoll1! I'm also getting married on 9th May 2015! So far we have ceremony and reception venues booked, dress ordered, bridesmaids dresses ordered, shoes and jewellery bought, MOB outfit completely sorted, photographer booked, cars booked, florist and reception decoration booked....I'm sure there's more but I can't remember haha! Feels crazy to be doing so much so soon, but 407 days isn't THAT long.....eeek!

Hi all, I was just wondering whether anyone has looked into booking florists yet? I feel like it is too early but I don't want things to be booked as we are having our wedding on a Saturday.

I booked my florist back in February. It is never too early! She has booked up really quick for next year, so I imagine most florists are the same.

Hiya, we're going to look at a couple of florist the weekend after next, no idea if its too early or not but trying to be pretty organised, and dont want to risk the people we want getting booked up! All the suppliers that we've spoken to about everything have said its never too early to book stuff up, so dont worry about feeling like youre doing things too soon!

I was having the same worry with the florist! We get married May 9th 2015 and haven't even thought about the florist yet. We have most of the important things booked but as yet we don't have a colour theme. This probably isn't likely to be decided until much later this year either.. Can you decide on your flowers without having a set colour in mind as yet?

We've booked venue, caterer, chair covers, think i've found my dress and OH looking at suits on Saturday! SO exciting!

I think I might book an appointment with the florist soon then, quite like the company and wouldn't want to loose out! That sounds exciting that your OH is looking at suits, mine doesn't want to look until November.

He probably wouldn't be looking if he wasn't being nudged! He's thinking of wearing a welsh kilt and which one he chooses will affect my colour scheme, so i need him to decide so i can decide on bms etc!

We have lots of dates in for next year, summer is already very busy. Plus a few dates for 2016! Suppliers won't mind booking in advance at all!

Well I decided to go ahead and book a consultation with the florist! Out of curiosity, what have people budgetted for flowers? All we're thinking of having is bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid and approx 4-6 button holes.

I'm May 2nd! Loving my countdown decreasing but it is scary too - so much to do!

So far I have booked church/reception (DJ, food etc all in). Made my own Save the Dates and as we speak am printing the envelopes for them.

Time totally passes by way too quick! feels like the year marker will be here in no time, so definately not crazy for booking things now! I'm trying to find and decide on stationary but haven't really found anything i like. has anyone got any good website recommendations?
