I don't think I get it... if you are ready to start trying, why have one go then wait 18 months?

For me getting pregnant on my wedding night would be a disaster! Each to thier own though I guess.

In all honesty, after us both being up since the early hours and 'on the go' all day, I think the last thing that'll be on my mind on our wedding night when we finally get to our room, then spend 2 hours undoing the dress and removing all the hair pins, will be consummation.

There'll be plenty of time for that kind of shenanigans in the months/years to come. Once a week, lights off, after Match of the Day, lie back and think of England, and all that sort of thing.

I kind of get it actually. My OH and I, never actively tried for a baby but on the odd occasion we did kind of take a 'what will be will be' attitude. Which in hindsight is a ridiculously irresponsible attitude on our part. But having said that being a parent is an incredible thing and I would not change our life for anything. We may not have been in the perfect position to have children but we 'get by' and our family does not want for anything.

Me and OH will have to get cracking to have Baby Macrae's, as I'm 39 on Wednesday! Tick tock, tick tock, so yes we will be trying with effect from the wedding night.
