MDAL/ wedding outfit advice - what do you think of this?

Doughnut, 3 August, 2009 at 19:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

I loooove this dress. Is it a bit mutton dressed as lamb? And would you wear it to a wedding?

I like the front, the back less so. Would be fine for a wedding but I think you need small boobs or neckline might look mumsy.

    ? Thanks.

I did think afterwards, I should probably say how old I am and vital stats ? My boobs are miniscule so I'm OK with the neckline.

Have you tried it on? How long was it? I'm not sure about this one - I'd feel more convinced if it wasn't leopard print ...

I haven't tried it on but I'm only 5ft 6 and a bit, so it shouldn't be that bad. I'm going to go to Cribbs on Friday and try it on.

    It's the leopard print I like ?

I looooove it too and wouldn't hesitate to wear it to a wedding. However, I'm 34 and only yesterday asked my husband whether I dressed too young for my age, so I wouldn't listen to a word I say! ?

I LOVE it. The colour would look vile on me, but if it suits you, go for it. I'd definitely wear it for a wedding (but then, I wore a sheer shift with leggings to the last one I went to...).

Step away from the matching bag though; it's hideous!

Exactly WSS. Doughnut, I have seen you (am a lapsed HPADer, not a stalker ?) and I think it will suit you and definitely not look MDAL.

I'm 32 but still get ID'd! (for being under 25 in supermarkets though, not for actually looking under 18)

Go for it Doughnut! I remember it was you that loved the H&M peacock dress and had the Madonna H&M dress (not a crazy stalker - honest! I just remember good taste ?)

One thing I'll say, don't worry about it! I got a wolf whistle when I was 28 (four years ago - I have had a few since ?) and I remember thinking "there's only so many years left that I'll get admiring glances from young men"...not that that's what it's all about but, hey, work it while you've got it!

    So, fab dress!
