Meh.....

Doddyclaire, 15 September, 2013 at 13:03 Posted on Planning 0 4

So, 13 days to go and I feel so MEH about stuff.......is this normal?? Most bits are done, although flowergirls shoes don't fit, MOH has just fecked off on a last min holiday, her dress needs a bit of altering, i'm 99% sure my most flaky friend wont even rock up on the day, and i'm trying so hard to not stamp my feet & be bridezilla-ish.

OH has just gone for a kip even though we should have left the house 30 mins ago to go see family, that have just arrived from Australia

So it all feels like i'm the one left to sort everything out, just having a GRRRRR moment - ignore me Smiley smile i'm sure it'll all be better after a glass of wine? Oh no that's right i'm driving so he can drink ?

Have a glass while he's asleep so HE has to drive Smiley tongue

I have no experience, but I'm sure it's pretty normal to feel like that; I'm pretty sure that will be me, too! Everything will be awesome on the day and the little things won't matter at all. And as for your flaky friend - her loss!

Good luck - I'm sure it'll all be fab! x

Just try and stay calm, this is a time you should be trying to enjoy (easier said than done)
Visit the family from Australia then when you get home go for a nice bath & relax. Have a few glasses of wine and think of the happy things about your day, the dress and flowergirls shoes will all be sorted i'm sure? And all will be fine on the day. Drag OH out of bed as well and tell him to get a grip and help you sort out things that need to be done, no time to be stressing Smiley smile

I know exactly how you feel. There's just so much bloody organising that goes into a wedding, that I reckon it's ok to have get the hump about it all. For me, it's like I'm so anxious for everything to be perfect, that I almost wish we'd just done something tiny, low key, just the two of us and my parents and our kids. But I know I would have regretted not having the big day. If it makes you feel any better, we're getting married in 2 months, and we're moving house next weekend. Not only that, I've just started a new job, and found out they're sending me on a one day course 2 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING!!!. I'm trying very hard to see the positives in that, ie at least its not the day before the wedding, and maybe it will take my mind off of things.

Anyway, my advice would be to try and relax if you can, get some early nights, do something nice for yourself, something pampering maybe, just for you.
