melon or salad?

Need opinions please, our menu is as follows:

Prawn Marie Rose

Fanned Melon Wellington or Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

_____________________

Soup

______________________

Steak with whisky and mushroom sauce

Chicken Chasseur

______________________

Profiteroles with chocolate sauce

Cheesecake and cream

_______________________

Tea/coffee with mints

So, would you rather have the melon or the salad?

    OH and I are doing this tonight! working out our menu i mean. I really like both your options, but i suppose the more popular would be Melon!

    Salad....do you think the "wellington" bit on your menu may a typo from the caterers ? I understand what "fanned" melon is but the wellington bit is bizarre.

    What do you prefer?

    I don't particularly like any of the starters unfortunately but am fussy with both because of their textures gives me the jeebies thinking about it!

    I love both melon and salad. I can eat salad with everything, but I find mozzarella the blandest of cheeses, so I'd plump fot the melon in this case.

    If it was me though I'd offer a choice of Melon or salad and drop the prawns.

    I love melon but my OH hates it, actually makes him feel ill so we're not allowed it at our wedding! I think the salad would suit most people.
