Men and stag dos

Wifeytobe88, 29 January, 2014 at 11:47 Posted on Planning 0 34

On the back of the strip club thread, does anyone else find the stuff that actually goes on on stag dos shocking? My OH has been on several, and of the ones he's been off, several of the guys who have girlfriends/fiancees/wives have cheated on them, from just a cheeky snog to DTD.

Obviously I trust my OH 100%, but it is a bit de-moralising that so many men think so little of cheating! I've only been on one hen do, but no way would anyone have cheated on their partners!

I've heard quite a bit from men about what goes on, but then i watched a documentary on the Dream boys and saw just how bad the hens can be aswell! If its still on 4OD i recommend watching it!

I just commented on the other thread about how disgusting one of H's friends was on his stag do (the friends, not H's and this was before I met him).

They went to Prague, and went to a club, and headed up a lift to a private room. There was a bed and two girls doing stuff to each other, then H's friend (the stag) got on the bed with them. H said they weren't really making contact with with the stag, just waving their bits in his face and messing with each other. One of the girls put her arse right up in the stags face, and he winked at everyone, spread the girls cheeks and licked her arsehole. H and another friend left immediately, but it was clear when they all met up with them the following day that more than one of them had sex with the girls. All of the men who were left in that room after H and another person left were in relationships/had kids etc.

I wish H had never told me as I have to see that stag and his wife occasionally and I feel sick to my stomach every time.

    Oh my gosh that's vile!

A stag do I know of, a woman put a pen in her bits and wrote on the grooms chest. Bleurgh! There was also a live sex show. His wife seemed fine with it but I get uncomfortable at anything like that.

My OH knows it kind of upsets me thinking of him in places like that so I like to think that sticks in his head when he finds himself in those situations.

I don't think they are doing anything like that on his stag do. My dad is going so they best not be!!!

    Sheesh.

I thought that was just on TV. Guess I'm naive.

My "hen do" is just me and my mate watching Pride and Prejudice ( again) whilst drinking wine in front of the fireplace at her place.

He is going shooting with his dad.

In any case, I wonder if these things happen to people who have a very direct conversation in respect to what constitutes "cheating". There is no ambiguity in our relationship. The lines have been very clearly drawn in the sand, down to specific scenarios. He knows exactly what is OK and what is not, as do I.

In the past when he has been invited to other's stag dos we had the conversation before hand. Though apparently it was mostly them drinking and playing video games before the groom had to get picked up off the bathroom floorSmiley smile.

OMG the bumhole thing is sick! Bleurgh.

I think it does depend on the guy - if you're going to cheat, it's not going to be just on a stag do. Some of OH's old football friends would all take their wedding rings off on a night out. Ridiculous. It's just that there's more opportunity on a stag do!

Im no prude at all (im the kind of girl that can comfortably go to a strip club or watch porn) and Ive been on 3 stag dos (but no hens lol - guess im better friends with boys) but at all 3 the groom and best man (+ a few others) cheated its really sad and I understand why people have trust issues with stag dos (I trust OH but dont like him going mainly because of the women) Ive notice some women deliberately throw themselves at the stag... its disgusting behavior and im ashamed to be from the same species as some of these women

one time one of the guys even tried making a move on me (I knocked him back instantly, he definitely wasnt single - I even know his long term GF ffs) but his excuse was 'its not cheating because I dont love you'... say whaa???

Yes some women have no shame...but the cheating man is 100% worse, the girls may well be single.

Gosh some of these stories are turning my stomach!!

I have to say i trust my OH stag do because A) the best man fears me MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and B) my OH wouldn't even know a hot girl was flirting with him to start with. I know from experience!

Back in uni we used to meetup with mates at a nightclub, we'd get the benches on the top floor. OH is, er, a little tipsy so I get up and get me and OH another drink. when i return a pretty little thing its sitting practically on his lap, twirling her hair and sipping through a straw and fluttering her eyelashes. My OH is talking to her but like she was any other friend, body language wise she could of been his blokey mate from class, none the wiser (and again i would know because to even date him i had to SPELL. IT. OUT. after weeks of flirting resulted in nothing) My reaction, i was actually a little amused. i went over grabbed him by the collar and planted a big wet one. She got the picture and buggered off. after on the way home when i had to tell him 'she was flirting with you you know?' he was genuinely surprised and puked in a bush.

Just something to keep in mind, no matter how morally reprehensible I might think it is, for the strippers or other sex workers who may be involved it's just a job.

Almost all sex workers in the UK have substance abuse problems! I wouldn't say it's a job choice for them, they feel they have no other option.

street prostitutes maybe... all sex workers no, all most all porn stars are clean from drug use as its a requirement for most jobs - I worked as a model and have met several 'sex' workers from they playboy type through to hardcore video workers they non of them where drug addicts (although many are ridiculously well off so in some reason I see why they chose that job when they have 2 houses, brand name fashion clothes and top of the range cars) although I personally dont know any I believe escorts are very much the same (its a job with an employer and they have to be clean and top of their game)

Some do yes. But a lot of accountants are drug addicts too.

I do know people in the industry, and just like in any industry, there are all types involved. They are mums and wives, students and retirees, divorcees, men and women, gay and straight...fat and thin..and just like accountants some are drug addicts too.

I was very torn about posting on these threads, but heres my "2 cents worth". The original post from yesterday started a conversation with my OH on the way to work this morning about stag-dos. He has been on a lot over the years. He is not the type of person to lie he is as blunt as you can be and he said to me when he goes on a stag do, all they want to do is go out with their mates and get wasted. Not on a single stag do has any of the lads there cheated. Reading the stories above, I feel sorry for the friends of the people doing the cheating (and obviously their partners) as they are putting them in a difficult situation, I would not feel comfortable if I was out with a friend on her hen do and I knew she went off with some bloke to cheat on her H2B, or any of my friends done that to their OHs for that matter.

I trust my OH and the people he is planning on going with and I know that none of them find it acceptable if any of the taken lads cheated. This just doesn't go for stag do's it goes for any occassion when the lads all go out together. I know it's the same for me when I go out with the girls too.

When I said sex workers - I meant prostitutes, sorry, I'm excluding porn industry workers, escorts. If anyone thinks that prostitutes (I prefer the term sex worker but will use that to avoid confusion) are doing it for the money, then you are very naive. The actual figure of those who have substance abuse problems is over 90%. Working in the "modelling" industry is not the same as working in a support or policy role, so you're only seeing what you want to see.

I think it depends on the guys, and really it just shows the relationship was over before they went on the stag do. If all it took for them to cheat was an opportunity then (sorry if this is a bit cold) but it suggests there's something not right back home. My OH went on one and no one cheated on their partners, they're all quite nice blokes though, even the worst bits of 'the show', the stag was extremely distressed and really didn't want to be there.

Also I think women are just as likely to cheat as men, I think it's a stereotype that it's always men. If you look at adultry stats etc. I remember reading somewhere that the % of women cheating is on the rise.

please dont assume I 'see what I want' as you dont know me, I used to live in the red light district and often took in young girls (and some times older ones) that worked the street (I hated seeing them sat in the rain) most are very thankful and friendly girls with a few 'problems' (everything from drugs, alcoholism, childhood rape, self worth issues, boyfriend/pimp and even severe daddy issue where spilled out to me) quite shockingly the majority I met where under 18 (with many under 16) I have no rose tinted spec on the issue

Sorry but all you said originally was that you worked in modelling (stealth boast much?) which wasn't really valid to your argument about prostitutes; porn stars or glamour models, yes maybe. If you'd said that you lived in a red light district before, then your point would have seemed more valid.

my point before wasn't about prostitutes though so it wasn't relevant to include my past housing areas as I agree about prostitutes

modelling is not boasting its a job like several ive had (vet assistant, photographer, home care worker) frankly if I was going to boast id use my work at the vets as its far, far more interesting - the only reason modelling was mentioned is that it seemed good to add a little background on why I know so many strippers and porn stars (otherwise I might look a bit dodgy lol)

Omg reading this is making me want to cry!

I completely trust my OH, but I would assume that all these stags had trusting girls at home who were none the wiser! Otherwise why would they be marrying them?

Starting to have some real wobbles about stag do now...especially as best man HATES me! Luckily my dad and brother are both invited, so I'm sure nothing would happen...

I think alcohol is to blame for a lot of inhibitions being lowered on stag dos - I'm not worried about my OH on his stag because a) he doesn't find that kind of thing sexy and b) he doesn't drink. I assume strippers etc are organised for his stag but I know I'm the one he wants to spend his life with - if I can't trust him now I may as well quit!
