Menu anyone?

naomiowen, 25 May, 2010 at 11:57 Posted on Planning 0 7

Due to budget were not having a wedding breakfast, instead we have cooks coming in to cook our own food for us, were serving a buffet style summer salad(meats, salads, cheeces etc), then desserts followed by a normal party food buffet later in the evening but i would like to put a menu book on the table with a list of whats availible for guests to eat but have to idea what to put?

ive started a new document to print and so far i have the word....MENU!? and thats it.....im stuck!

does anybody have any ideas/templates?

Hmmm, not sure hun. I'm really not very creative with this sort of thing.

Sorry I'm not much help, but was feeling for you and your 0 replies!

Not a menu book but what about this - obviously I don't know what kind of style wedding you're having but thought this was an idea (i'm stealing it for my drinks list!)

Found it on photos on rocknroll bride:-

    http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2010/02/jules-leightons-vintage-rock-n-roll-beautiful-homespun-english-wedding/#more-34609

I am also stealing this idea:-

There's a company on e*bay that do those particular chalkboards as well, I had ordered one but they managed to break it before it got posted to me and didn't have any more until now and my wedding's on saturday so a bit too late.

Anyway they're called "divine interiors" on the bay. They call it a bistro/cafe style kitchen menu blackboard.

    Hope that has been helpful.

If you still need a hand with the food bit, it depends if you want it to sound more formal or relaxed (i've just written a menu at work today so the creative juices are flowing if you need any help)

theres a few websites i found on google but this one looks good - https://www.musthavemenus.com/category/wedding-menus.html. You can download them to word!

If i wer doing what you are, I would put a list of the food that will be available at both eating times. I would have "Dinner Menu" and "Evening Menu" and elegently describe what it is, e.g. "a platter of sandwiches of various fillings, Hot chipolata sausages" etc
