So we went for our food tasting last week and i was so happy as all options were amazing except one, but i can let them off for that!

So we picked

Staters

Warm plum tomato & mozzarella tart, mix salad pesto sauce (v)#

Main

Slowly roast Devon pork loin, marinated cabbage, bubble squeak, cider sauce

Roast free range chicken breast wrapped in pancetta , Savoy cabbage, boulangere potatoes, thyme jus

Parmesan basket, filled with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle sauce (v)

Dessert

Trio of chocolate mousse, fresh raspberry salad

Vanilla crème brulee, home baked shortbread

So what do you think?

Whats everone else having?

Im in very weddingey mood today!

That all sounds delicious, my mouth is watering!!

We don't get a taster session with our venue ☹️ We're getting married in October so want warm comforting food, we're going for soup for starter, chicken for main, the vegetarian option will be chosen by my MOH and I'm not sure what we're going to go for for dessert yet as me and OH can't agree xxx

    Great choices.

My O/H would love you for the cheese course! He has asked them to bring him a cheese course on the evening buffet, just a small one for him and an Usher who loves cheese, he reckons he is going to grab it and sneak off to eat it!

I like the idea of having a different meat other than chicken as that can be quite dry (and 'normal'), so the pork sounds delicious.

Your choices sound fab. We're not able to offer people a choice (other than dietary requirements) due to the package at our hotel. We're thinking of:

Peppered leek and potato soup with nutmeg croutons

Roast Sirloin of Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, caramelised onion gravy, fresh horseradish sauce, roast potatoes, roast root vegetables and baton carrots or

Roast Loin of Pork, Bramley Apple Sauce, Roast Gravy, Roast Potatoes, Roast Roots and Buttered Cabbage

Fresh fruit pavlova (or the trio of miniature deserts if the pavlova is one of them!)

Yum, all sounds gorgeous! Choosing the menu has been one of our favourite bits ?

    Ours are:

    Starters:

    • Ravioli of free range cornfed chicken, organic woodland mushrooms and parma ham served with a sage butter
    • Vine plum tomato and buffallo mozzarella salad served with cracked black pepper and basil oil

    Mains:

    • Roast fore rib of beef served with gravy, horseradish mash and Yorkshire pudding
    • Braised lamb shank with mashed potato and rosemary & red wine jus
    • Sun tart of provence vegetables with mustard and basil

    Desserts:

    • Fresh strawberries soaked in champagne, served with strawberry sorbet and champagne sabayon
    • Homemade vanilla cheesecake served with a compote of fresh berries

We also have a children's option which is roast chicken with vegetables and potatoes of the day (or they can have half a portion of an adult main if they want)

Some nice choices girls. Stazzle, do you want to get some of your dessert sent down to me, I think I prefer it to mine! in fact, I think I'll go for GB's starter and the OP's main alongside it!

    We're having:

Asparagus with parma ham and balsamic glaze

or Carmalised Onion and thyme tart

    then

Rump of lamb with med veg, potato dauphinoise

    or Gorgonzola/Girolle mushrooms gnocchi

    and Amaretto cheesecake.

Trickers - I did an asparagus risotto last night, it was gorgeous - never tried it before, but it works really well

That sounds near enough to what we are thinking to go for. We received the brochure and spend 3 days reading 3 menus with 5 options each for starters, 5 each for main course...well, you get the picture! So far we are having...alll of it and none of it because we can't decide or mix stuff from one menu with stuff from the other as they are different prices (£45, £65 and £77)...
