    Starter Leek and potato soup

Main Roast chicken dinner so roast potatoes etc

Or Fillet venison, red wine jus and dauphinois potatoes

Not decided on our desert yet, but still awhile to choose, or we can design our own choice.

I figure everyone likes chicken, me and other half like venison. Going to cater for intolerances like gluten etc. but no veggies so far

    Hope this helps

Starters; duck pâté (veg option tbc)

mains; chicken or beef, roast potatoes and vegetables (veg option tbc)

desert; tbc - something chocolate or cheesecake

I know a tad boring and very predictable however you can't really go wrong with beef or chicken. Plus the OH is as fussy as hell so needed to have something he would actually eat too.

I would rather play it safe then people not eat it.

I replied to your last thread so won't bore you again with our choices! If you are still struggling how about looking at the menu of your favourite restaurant for inspiration? Or get your venue/caterer to make some suggestions.

We're having afternoon tea for wedding breakfast. We also struggled to decide what to choose. Guessed everyone likes sandwiches and cakes?! Then having hog roast in the evening.

    Good luck Smiley smile

We're just starting to talk to potential venues (visiting favourite on Sunday afternoon to discuss). But this is what we reall want:

(sorry about the font - have just stolen the list from my iPad notes app.)

Seared Scallops with Cauliflower Purée and Apple
Chicken Liver Parfait with onion Marmalade and toasted Brioche
    -------------
    Monkfish with Chorizo crust
    http://www.greatbritishchefs.com/recipes/monkfish-recipe-chorizo-crust-spiced-beans
Slow cooked lamb shank, red wine jus & mashed potato
Roasted butternut squash, carrots & parsnips
    Crushed Minted Peas
    ----------------
    Eton Mess
    Chocolate pot with raspberry
    -------------
    Coffee

We LOVE eating out, we basically just selected our favourite dishes each from our favourite resturants, apart from the monkfish which was my main selection. I'd love to do whole roast sea bass, but I know most of the guests which will choose fish won't want to battle with the bones, and we are a long way from the nearest hospital if someone gets a bunch of bones lodged in their throat!

    Hope this helps
