Please pass on my best wishes. My Mum is a data handler for leukemia and I know a lot of people can overcome this illness, so my fingers and toes are crossed that she will be strong enough to do this.

Please let Andrea know we are thinking of her and sending her lots of love.

Hopefully she can still enjoy Christmas with her family and get to getting better in the new year.

Blimey - I'm so sorry to hear that - we exchanged links not so long ago and in my correspondence with her she seems like a really strong character which will help....- I wish her all the best as I'm sure we all do..

Im a great believer in the power of positive thinking and this has helped me a lot ? Im also a great one for humour although many will think that is possibly not a good idea, it is helping me.

Im still awaiting a letter for treatment etc but am remaining positive that this isnt the worst case scenario, i really dont have time to be sick!!

My hubby and my 5 kids are helping me stay positive although i did find my eldest in tears yesterday (i told her off as she has enough on her plate with uni applications and exams etc) and again my humour helped when i said to her that even if it is that im not going anywhere and shes not getting off her studies that easily hehe! she soon cheered up!

Its a bit harder with the younger ones as they obviously know something is up we are trying to protect them until we are 100% sure of anything but they keep asking are u ok mum and its hard to smile and say oh yes im great ☹️

We are all getting ready for chrimbo which is helping keep my mind of things and if anything it has made us even more dtermined to enjoy it this year. We will face anything else afterwards.

Im a born fighter and have been through many things over the years and im not for one minute about to give up.

Thank you again ladies, its been very comforting reading all the messages, i will update you all in the new year but in the mean time everybody have a very happy chrimbo and a peaceful new year.

Andrea, you sound like a fighter which will really really help you. i worked on a leukaemia ward for 2 months earlier this year, so if you want any information about anything please let me know and i can get some to you somehow - pm me if you need. dependant on your illness the treatment can be tough, but it can be ultimately very curable.

Andrea, I've only just seen this. I'm sending lots of healthy vibes your way. A friend of mine had leukemia a couple of years ago, was actually undergoing treatment in the run up to her wedding and was bald on her wedding day, but she still looked beautiful and has now made a full recovery and is 30 weeks pregnant with her first baby, a little girl. Stay strong - you can beat this.

I wish you well Andrea. I don't really know you but you do seem to have the right attitude, and I am sure that is half the battle. I am a survivor of breast cancer and I know a strong mental attitude is so important. The love and support of friends and family is equally important, and I'm sure you have that too, you sound like a lovely person. Good luck love. x
