MiL rant.

*Mini*, 11 February, 2013 at 17:51 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

Spoke to MrMini who was on his lunch break (is working a late today) and he told me about a conversation his mum had with him last night when she was dropping of the kids uniform (long story but we had to have the kids overnight last night and take them to school this morning)

She said that she feels we spend too much time on the computer and she is worried we are emotionally neglecting the children....to give a bit of context out PC is in the dining room which is the main living area in the house, we have an odd layout. Its wired up to the surround speakers so that the music we play on spotify can be heard all around the downstairs, therefore when we are at home, the PC is on as we always have music playing.

She basically told MrMini that he needs to not use Facebook/Forums etc when the children are here. She also asked him to mention it to me as well.

Oh and then she moaned we diddnt have packed lunch food in for the kids. Why would we? We dont have them on school nights very often and when we do its with notice so we get stuff in...

Its a good job I wasnt here, thought TBF I doubt she would have said it had I been as she knows I would have had to have said something.

I could actually strangle her. She called us 3 times yesterday, just to see how we were.

ah no, she hates the ex as we all do. She is so interfering, likes to know the ins and outs of everything, genuine conversation she had when she was round Sat (oh yes, twice in one weekend!) was about MrMinis car tax as she saw the reminder on the side. How were we going to pay for it etc etc? None of your bloody business love.

She is worried that stepson is developing depression because we spend so much time online. She has worked this out because he is underweight....no hes skin and bone because him mum feed him on a diet of chips and beans.

Blimey! Although i don't know the history, you clearly deserve a medal! I'd have lost it with her on this instance alone!

And I'm loving the irony of you being able to moan about her online! ? Ha - up yours MIL!!!

I feel for you. People live to stick their noses into things that are nothing to do with them -my future MIL is exactly the same. Roll on you moving...
