MIL/Mum gifts?

Scottish_Sarah, 14 June, 2015 at 19:43 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi Guys,

We have 2 weeks to go and are really struggling to come up with something for both of our mum's as a thank you gift. Neither of them really wear jewellery, neither are very girly, my mum doesn't like flowers being bought - she thinks they are a waste as they die, we did think of a nice afternoon tea type thing but my mum is gluten free and hates gluten free bread.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm going to have the same problem too! Spa treatment or vouchers?, or is that too girly? How about a nice lunch with bubbly or cocktails? I thought about theatre tickets, but then I looked at the price!

What about a hamper? You can get them with all different themes and contents. We bought my aunt a gardeners one for her 70th and it had stuff she could plant, gloves, hand lotion, biscuits, tea etc. We looked at lots from foodie ones, wine, cheese, beauty, relaxation, chocolate, golfers, etc. Most big brands do them from m&s to harrods and all different price ranges

We are having a spa the day before - and MIL has been complaining about that (I'm paying so no idea why) so spa wouldn't really work - lunch could work - would have to be a voucher for them both tho as we live 400 miles away and they wouldn't go to lunch together.

We just did fancy chocolates. We had no money for anything more anyway, but it was nice and simple.
