thankyou so much for all your vibes and thoughts. He is home now and wearing a cone of shame, walking backwards and generally looking very sorry for himself. I feel so sorry for him, would swap places with him in a heartbeat if I could.

i have a photo but don't want to post if its going to upset people. Needless to say I'm sharing it in Facebook in the slim hope that someone who knows anything about it sees it and feels the slightest remorse.

My cat was shot once by an air rifle - we believe it was our nasty gun owning, cat hating neighbour Luckily he only broke his leg, but he was in a lot of pain for months and it cost us thousands of pounds in vets bills. Unfortunately as there was no evidence we couldn't do anything.

Definately report it, and share with the local groups you did when he was missing. I know the local pet groups I see on FB would share this sort of thing. It seems a coincidence he was missing then this happens, do you think perhaps the same person who did this, had previously tried to do it and missed, which scared him into hiding for a couple of days?

I have shared it on the local pet groups and have contacted the RSPCA to report it too.

He is off to the vets again today to have his drain taken out. We have set up a HarryCat hospital outside our bedroom door so he doesn't have to come down stairs at all now plus I can keep an eye on him overnight.

Mini I haven't been around much either so just caught up. I'm glad to see he's out of the vets and is recovering. He is such a gorgeous puddy cat, I can't believe some little sh1t would want to hurt him at all. I would absolutely report it to the police, I'm assuming they would want to know about it. I hope you're doing ok too Mini.

HarryCat update.

The drain is out, his stitches looked a bit inflamed so the vet gave him an injection that was two weeks worth of antibiotics to keep him healthy. I have to clean the exit wound where the drain was ? for the next few days until it heals.

The vet said we are really lucky he came home after being shot as sometimes they just wander off and die ? poor pusscats.
