I need a new camera and have been looking at these:

If anyone has one, would you recommend it?

If nobody has, is there anyone who knows a thing or 2 about cameras who could say if they're worth the money or not please?

For that kind of money, are you not tempted by the Canon EOS 450D or the 1000D?

Are they much better then?

My camera has broken and I saw one of the minis advertised on the telly. I thought it looked quite good and it being smaller was a bonus.

I just bought the Sony H50 and am Loooove with it 9.1MP and 15 x optical Zoom! Came in very handy at the TT concert on Saturday night! I got some really good shots

I have the 1000d and imagine that gives more flexibility. I got a good deal on mine (£300 including kit lens) but even now prices have increased it should still be cheaper then the G1. It's small for a dslr. Or what about a fuji finepix bridge, I used mine a lot before getting the 1000d

I don't know wht to get now. I like the idea of a smaller dslr, but am not sure now.

That TT photo, were you far away? It's a great picture.
