Mini first Flash 5 months to go.., Trouble matching colours

maybeachbride, 20 January, 2014 at 20:05 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hello,

I'm struggling to match my Bridesmaid colours to cravat, ribbons & chair ties etc.

Firstly what is your opinion on my flower girl, bridesmaids and wedding dress together.

I did love them but with all the colour problems I'm starting to wobble!

Bridesmaid

Dresses is from shop on left and on my Bridesmaid right to show the colour in reality, altering the dresses to normal straps (hate halternecks)

Anyone got any guesses what colour I would class it as?

Flowergirl Dresses

Flowergirl dresses is a shade lighter and struggled matching the older bridesmaid but liked the colour in it as my flower girls are all fair and blonde.

Opinions on these dresses? originally I love them but having jitters!

My dress

Wanted bridesmaid straps altered similar to mine to match.

Dress is 3 sizes too big so hopefully will look even better when mine arrives!

Any ideas what colour I could match with this as really struggling getting the perfect match. Quite like this influence as my wedding is on a beach.

It all looks very pretty, I'd say that colour is aqua, like this cravat on eBay...

I think they match fine, wouldn't worry about matching everything perfectly no one will notice if it's not exact Smiley smile

It says "Jade" is the colour in your pic so if you type jade green with whatever you're looking for i think you'll find stuff, if not any turquoises or light blues, ivories would match up i think.

Dress looks lovely too, you'll notice a huge difference when in the proper size can see how nice it is already Smiley smile

I think it is a shade of aqua but not quite as blue.

I've sent for some samples off eBay but still not a match, I may ask him to send aqua shades as I think it's more that colour. It's not jade green even though it does say that it's much more blue.

Any suggestions on a colour/s to put with it.

Thanks about my dress :-) I love the pictures on the model but not so much on me yet! The top strap bit it detachable if I decide I want to change it too :-)

We're going for 'vintage' style colours but because I cant get an exact match to the BM dresses, we're having ivory and lace sashes on the chairs. OH is going to try and match his cravatte to the BM dresses but I'm not desperate for them to match exactly if it cant be helped. I'm not over fussed as long as he's comfortable!

What about ivort ties/cravats with the colour of the BM dress as a little fine stripe on them?

this is what has been suggested for our wedding as we couldnt get a match - looked really tasteful when he put it against the suits we have picked, also getting a matching hankie for the boys breast pockets - looks fab!

Maybe having a stirpe would be a good idea, any pictures of the kind of thing your on about?

Id love to incorporate lace etc but my wedding is abroad so theres not much flexibility unless I buy sashes/lace myself and take it over.
