Mini Moon

Tams90, 19 September, 2014 at 11:45 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 1

Can anyone please give me any suggestions on a Mini Moon? We're getting married in July 2016 (on a Saturday) and want to go away for a Mini Moon on the Monday after. We can't go on our proper honeymoon straight after the wedding due to work commitments, but we're both able to get a few days off after the wedding.

We want to go somewhere to celebrate our marriage, but can't decide what to do. We don't have a massive budget for this get away, so was initially thinking of staying in the UK and going to a Spa or something, but now my OH isn't so keen on this and wants to go further a field.

We first thought Paris, but with having a tight budget we were concerned this may be too much. We're not too keen on Italy as we've already been there.

Does anyone have any suggestions where we could go for a Mini Moon? Something not too far away, not too expensive, but nice Smiley smile

Budapest or Prague? We got engaged in Budapest and it's the most romantic city I've ever been to. It's also not in the euro so prices are cheaper than the rest of Europe.

Bruge in Belgium is beautiful; one of the most perfect places i've stayed. You can get the Eurostar there which could save on £. It's small so only a few days are enough, i spent 3 or 4 nights there. Full of canals, little market squares, eateries, bridges, and so many chocolate shops and cheap delicious Belgium beer! Weather probably about 20-25c at that time of year. I'd go back in an instant!
