Mini rant, grr!

FelicityChaplin, 18 January, 2010 at 20:20 Posted on Planning 0 3

I'm getting married in Blackpool where all my family live, and I find out yesterday that they are on holiday and only come back on the day of my wedding. Hence not being able to attend!

I'm only having about 20 people coming from my family and friends, and that cuts it almost in half. I'm gutted, but refuse to change the date now that it's all sorted. ☹️

Oooooh noooo! I'm sorry..... is it immediate family or relatives??? Did you not mention the date to people before you booked??

Maybe theres others you can invite instead? (tho i understand its not the same as having family there)

Oh that's rubbish - why didn't they tell you their plans before you booked? Do you think they might be able to come back a day earlier?

Hope you can get something sorted!

    Thanks guys. ?

Must admit I never asked before hand as usually they go away in July, and I wanted to surprise them with the 'Save the Date' cards after we'd given notice and made it official.
However the uncle that isn't going away with them came down yesterday and my Mum let it slip, including the date.

They are going camping in the UK, so I am hoping they will want to attend enough to come back a day earlier. We aren't a really close family but they are the only ones I have so obviously I wanted some people from my side attending. The numbers were looking to be pretty even, and now it'll be odd!

If they are just going camping in this country I should think they could get back
