Well, I've been an old married for seven weeks now and thought i'd better get around to writing my wedding report! We had the most amazing day, it rained all day but I can honestly say it didn't ruin the day and apart from having to change some of our plans it hardly made a difference. Everyone seemed to have a fantastic time and we had so many lovely comments about the venue, the atmosphere, all my little touches and most importantly, my dress which i was having wobbles about right up until the day!
The report is short and sweet and I hope you like the flashes, my TOG photos won't upload so these are just some from guests
Enjoy

First day off work and quite a chilled day getting beautified, meeting my bridesmaid for lunch at the venue - it was fab showing her round for the first time and seeing how excited she was, some chill out time at home and then our rehearsal. The rehearsal went really well, we didn't say our vows as we wanted them to be special on the wedding day and I would def recommend this. It was really good to see everyone in church though and walk through how the ceremony would be - made it all seem very real which was so exciting. The vicar told my BMs how important it was to make sure my dress looked fab all the way through the wedding ceremony and it really paid off on the day. Had our rehearsal dinner afterwards and it was great for all the wedding party to get together. Saw OH for the last time before the wedding day - then it seemed very real!

Again quite a chilled day - packed for honeymoon, pottered around getting my things together then met Mum to go to the venue. Went and picked up my dress and the BMs dresses which was very exciting and took then straight to the hotel. Had a fab room so Mum and I spent an hour or so chilling out before my make up girl came to do our nails. Had some champagne and then my BMs and a few of my friends who were staying in the hotel the night before came around and had their nails done. It was fab catching up with everyone and drinking champagne although it didn't feel like it would be my wedding day the day after! Went and met more guests in the bar and chat to them before a late supper with mum and close friends - had to force myself to bed at midnight although i could have stayed up chatting all night! OH text to say he loved his gifts esp the Beautiful Groom type journal i had made him. Felt very surreal to have my last night as a Miss
My wedding day ?
i was woken up at 5.30 by one of my friends calling to check I was awake! I didn't need to be but I was once she called! Got up and saw that it was heavy rain and fog - not the weather I had ordered! I felt a bit down about the weather while I was waiting for everyone to arrive but once everything got going I just forgot about it! Hairdresser came and started putting my rollers in before doing Mum and one of my BMs hair. Then the other hairdresser came to start on the other 4 BMs. Next was make up girl and she started on BM then Mum so I was just sat around waiting a lot - watching some random TV - very relaxed which was strange! Had a full breakfast to set me up for the day, no nervous stomach for me! Then it was my turn to get ready and I enjoyed being pampered and having my hair and make up done! TOG arrived and started to take photos which made everything seem more real and then Mum and i both received a delivery of flowers from OH which so so sweet and caused a few tears. He also got me a Tiffany necklace which I could wear with my dress.
Soon BMs came in ready and they looked amazing - and all the dresses fitted! Then it was time to get ready - my dress had a zip and buttons and only took about 10mins to get into, even better. Then we fixed in my veil and I was good to go. Had a few photos with my Mum and BMs - everyone was stressing we were going to be late but i just felt so chilled, I couldn't believe it. All I could think was i was getting married that day so nothing else really mattered!
BMs left in their car and Mum, uncle (my dad passed away 11 yrs earlier to uncle agreed to give me away) and I got in the vintage rolls royce (I LOVED the car!) and headed to the church. It was a bumpy ride and everyone but me was stressing we would be late but in the end we were bang on time.
Got to the church and saw my BMs waiting - headed straight into church as it was still raining and met one of the ushers who said i looked amazing. Then I started to feel a bit nervous as it hit me that was it and we were getting married. The doors opened and i walked down the aisle, my bottom lip was wobbling a bit but I kept it together. OH looked nervous but told me I looked beautiful when I got down the aisle. Service was amazing, it felt like it was just OH and I when we said our vows but we could feel the love and support of everyone in the church. The vicar gave a lovely sermon about us and marriage traditions around the world and gave us a bible to be signed by all our guest to remind us of the day (everyone did sign it and its a fab memento of the day). Everyone commented on how fab our service was, how personal it was and how it was one of the nicest weddings they had been to which meant so much to us. Then it was all official and we signed the register (at one point my BM ended up married to OH but it was all sorted in the end). Walked out of the church to the traditional wedding march and everyone looked so happy for us. We were supposed to have photos outside but the weather was so awful so we ended up going back into church to talk to our guests for a while which was totally unplanned but one of my favourite parts of the day - it totally relaxed the atmosphere and set the tone of the day as being relaxed and fun filled.
Had some photos in the church then headed back to the reception venue in our vintage car. OH and I loved being able to spend time together and go over all that had happened since we last say each other. Soon we were at the venue welcomed with a glass of champagne. The guests arrived on our vintage bus which was a massive hit. Then we had what seemed like a never ending stream of photos intermixed with chatting to guests (drinks reception had to be moved inside the venue rather than on the lawn which was a bit of a shame). I just wanted to get back to our guests but the photos we have were worth the break.
Wedding breakfast started a bit late but the food was fab. Our guests loved the quiz and wine monitor roles we had given out (thanks CB for the inspiration) and the atmosphere was buzzing. Our reception room looked stunning, I couldn't believe what a good job the venue had done at dressing it and the flowers were just what i wanted. Food was fantastic, the guests loved it, then it was time for the speeches. My uncles was perfect, just the right mix esp as it was hard without my dad. OH was also perfect and the best men's funny - all in all I couldnt have asked for better.
The next thing i know its time for the evening reception and cue lots of dancing, chatting, dancing and merriment. The dancefloor was full all night, I couldnt believe it and so many people said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Our sweet buffet was a massive hit and we nearly got through our 30kg of sweets - our guests def indulged! (esp as there was only 100 of them!). the kids loved their activity packs from dinner and the cameras at night. The evening just flew by and then it was the last dance with everyone doing New York, New York.
I can honestly say it was the most amazing day - it went past faster than I ever imagined but it was fabulous to be surrounded by so much love. I didn't worry about a thing on the day and just loved getting married and becoming a wife.
A few flashes for you now, congratulations if you made it to the end!
