Mock up of my invites - pic

kj82, 15 October, 2009 at 00:01 Posted on Planning 0 12

Being a creative soul i thought id have fun making my own invites. This is rough mock up number 1. Ive put three snowflakes together and tied them together. thought they were a bit different to everything else ive seen. I still need to play about with the wording etc. I'm quite proud of it, what do you guys think? ? Sorry the pics are so big, havnt got the hang of this yet Smiley smile

KJ they are very cute. I like the idea of tying them together as well.

I would consider using much thicker card for the snowflakes and then cutting the paper with text in a snowflake shape as well - then sticking the two together (or stick them together first and then cut them - that would be easier).

I think its more effort but they won't curl or fold at the edges.

Very cool (no pun intended!) idea!....

Make sure you use thick card not only for reasons previously mentioned, but also so they don't get mashed in the post .... or use heavy weight envelopes...

But they are very unusual - never seen anything like them before so well done you!!

They are very pretty and different, I like the fact that no one will have had anything similar!

Like the point about some heavy weight envelopes, I hadnt thought about that! Im making my invites and am using quite a thick card but hadnt got round to thinking about the envelopes!

I think they are lovely, unusual and unique - well done. I also agree with the other comments about the card and envelopes etc.

Lorna - you must be excited about ordering your wedding rings

Well done on the invites, I would of loved a christmas theme but decided against it as my OH's brother is getting married on 19th December this year so felt we would be copying slightly but I am really looking forward to seeing what things they've chosen.

Their invites were red and in the shape of christmas baubles with a piece of white vellum over the top which was embossed with silver glittery snowflakes both pieces were tied together with silver thread, if I can find it I will take a pic and post it for you.
