Modern technology :)

Holly-Jayne, 2 November, 2011 at 19:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Earlier in the week a friend of a friend had her house broken into and the thieves ransacked the house and along with lots of precious possessions they also took her shitzhu dog and it's new litter of puppies so everyone we knew got in touch with everyone they knew and so on and so forth via Facebook, twitter etc and general chin wagging put out the word that the dogs had been stolen (they are worth thousands)so it was likely the thieves stole them to try and sell them on. And pleased to say that (someone-possibly the thieving toe rags) contacted her today advising the dogs had been left in a box in the next street down for her to collect today. Police believe it was down to how quickly and publicly this got round to breeders and people in the areas that forced the thieves to give up the dogs as they would have possibly been caught if they had tried to sell them. Owner made a statement today advising the local papers that both mum and puppies are doing well and happy to be home Smiley smile So thank the lord for modern technology hey Smiley smile

    Thats brilliant!!

A while ago, a man was mugged here for a very rare dog, and it was all over the local paper. A lady contacted them to say she had been sold the dog for nearly £300 and was devastated to hear it was stolen and returned it to the family, leaving her £300 out of pocket but at least with a clear conscience (sp) Well done that lady!

Its amazing how many people it gets to on FB isnt it! Yeah great news isnt it guys - and thank god for them having some heart and not destroying the dogs rather than returning them.

Yeah my mums got dogs (we have a cat) and I know we'd be exactly the same as you Sange. It'd be like losing a member of the family.

awwww thats truly heart warming. I tell you what, if it was my dog I was getting back I'd have given the lady the £300 myself (or what I could afford to) for doing that for me.

Lovely original story too, made me well up Smiley sad
