More cat oddness

Zo, 9 January, 2009 at 14:04 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

I keep finding our cat licking plastic bags especially bin bags (not ones filled with rubbish she can't access those). I can't work out why she is doing it they can't taste nice!

One of ours does that, the other just sits in them.

First rule of cat "ownership" they are all weird and you can never understand them ?

I know cats are fond of the crackling noises that carrier bage and tinfoil make... have the carrier bags been used for anything? (our cat licks the bags thatl oaves of bread come in? )

It’s a tricky one that. But I don’t think I’m the one to answer….I still can’t work out why my 4 month old male kitty has such a HUGE obsession with his 4 month old sister’s ears! Any opportunity he gets, he’s licking them (and I mean RIGHT inside), chewing them and generally really p1ssing her off!

    Madness….

Im sure all the cats we ever had at home were never this weird lol!

The bin bags have clothes in (Im a bad house wife still havent emptied some of the bags from when we moved (we had run out of boxes))

The carrier bags its usually the ones that have her treats in so thats more understandable!

The ear licking is just wrong!

My sister's cat Frodo (enormous ginger fur ball) loves plastic bags, cellophane, cling film, all sorts of food packaging - he'll sit and lick them for hours.

    Weird, but certainly not unique.

You want strange....you know ribbons on gifts well if any come into our house they have to be whipped off the presents straight away or at least hidden in some inaccessable place otherwise Lucy eats them....and then throws them up again ?

No idea why but same goes for tinsel...anything long and straggly she zooms in on it.

One of our kittens is completely mad for anything that shines and sparkles, he is such a mag pie! I have no jewlery left since he nicks them and then hides them in obscures places. He will go for wrappers, hair clips, all the bows on the Christmas presents, pens, anything you can think of that has a slight sheen! His name rather suits him, it's Vegas.

Both of the kittens carry things in their mouths like dogs would and love to play fetch. ❤️

Our little black cat fetches. Not in a sort of doggy way where she brings the item back and stares at you with big wide eyes excitedly, it's more a sort of "Well? Are you going t throw it or not?" ?

Otis loves chasing rolled up Kit Kat wrapper foils. I thought that they had disappeared under our kitchen cupboards. (Our kitchen is in a state and needs renovating) A few months later I was cleaning under the settee cushions and found loads of Kit Kat wrappers. Jake hates the noise that carrier bags make but Otis will happily play in them.

Ollie loves sticks and I often find them under the fleecy blanket that I put on the bottom of the bed. Perhaps he's a small dog!

Oscar loved bleach and would often roll around on the kitchen floor after I had washed it. He also loved to nose dive in between my toes after I'd been swimming.

Wouldn't be without the strange furry buggers.

And I thought Muffin was odd rolling in bleach - so much so that I hadn't mentioned it to anyone!
