Mori Lee

Laurensmum, 20 June, 2015 at 20:24 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hi guys

Going for my 1st wedding dress shop this coming Friday and have picked this specific shop as they stock Mori Lee dresses(looked at them, and love them)

However, I'm on an extremely strict/tight budget, and when I asked the very nice lady on the phone as to rough prices, she was very non comittal!!!

Have any of you guys had/having a Mori Lee and how much roughly did you pay for them? Would hate to try them on, fall in love and not be able to afford it!!!

Many Thanks ?

Have a look at www.glamourousgowns.co.uk as they stock many Mori Lee dresses and include prices. They also have a really good sale section. If you find the dress of your dreams, but can't afford it, don't rule out buying an ex sample or a second hand dress. You're the only person who would ever need to know it wasn't brand spanking new Smiley smile

Thanks for the tip, and thank you all for you help!

Im on a pretty strict budget of up to £800 so she may be out of my price range brand new....let's hope there is some in the sales!!!

Also totally new to this dress lark........If a dress is in the sale do you just try on and take away, or is it the same process as a non-sale dress (I.e they order one and it comes in for fitting etc), it's just last seasons etc?

Sorry to be so thick!!! ?

My was brand new for that price (have a look in my report in my signature) but you could either try an outlet where you'll be trying the dress you'll be buying, or ask the shop of they're willing to sell you their sample, which again will be the dress you're trying.

There are also trunk shows or designer events where there are discounts given on a particular designer. From what I understand, they are made to order dresses so not samples or second hand.

I don't have a Mori Lee, so I can't help with prices. But I can help with samples!

I fell in love with my dress, but they could no longer order the dress, so they sold me the sample at 1/3 of the original cost.

The dress was damaged, so I thought that was why it was so cheap. But they have kept my dress there (until my fitting), and said that they will repair the damage free of charge, as they want the dress to be in the best possible condition.

So, although some places make you take the sample away, not all places do. The shop I went to couldn't do enough to help, and didn't treat me any differently (even though I only bought a fairly cheap sample).
