How soon do they normally let you know if your application has been declined?

Thank you

Piece of string question. As the company in question. I've known decisions come same day or a month.

I thought last week you were asking about a mortgage offer and whether you could decrease the amount??

<becoming bored of the same questions>

Wouldn't you be better asking the actual mortgage company as they all vary differently ?

Just feel like it is dragging on and when I phone someone says they will call back and no one does.

I got a mortgage decision in principle which was credit checked and then submitted the full application. It has since been valued and this week I sent in my P60 and pay slip. Keep worrying everything is going to fall through. Silly I know.

So you haven't got the mortgage offer, as I thought this was what what you were saying last week.

Which lender is it ? are you going via a financial advisor as they should be doing the chasing for you ?

If you have just sent your payslip this week then I wouldn't expect the offer straight away.

If you are calling and asking for an update and getting fobbed off I would suggest being a little firmer with them, but maybe wait till middle of next week. Personally Ive never had any problems with Nationwide but it is a hile since I dealt with them.

    Agree with bettyb

if you didnt send your payslip in till Tuesday (as it was BH Monday), the wouldnt have it till Wednesday, which means it may be moneday next week before they even assess it

i know its a pain but these things take time

Will wait to the end of next week I think. I was told the satisfactory valuation was received so I am guessing it would be rare to be turned down now.

    Thank you

Yes, the only thing that would would mean they turned down your app;ication was if you had given false impressions of your income ie, what you said you earned isnt proven in the payslips
