Argh!! am being hit left right and centre with price increases ?[:'(]

our venue put their meal prices up by £1.50 a head and then said that i wasnt tied to the booked price as they cant guarentee that and now the suit hire has gone up..

grrr. for the love of god we have a credit crunch!! ?

just when i find a bargain to offset one increase another comes along....

Had you signed a contract with your venue?

Check the small print - make sure there's a caveat for them to allow price increases. Otherwise I'd be challenging them.

There was no mention in the contract about prices. They showed us prices when we booked but didnt mention anything about increases just changes on the menu once a year.

We booked in feb '09 and they run their prices march - april. I complained and they said i was looking at the march 08' april '09 prices and that i should have 2 increases as the wedding is july '10 price year march '10 to april '11 but they said they will let us have the wedding at the prices this year if that makes sense (march 09' april '10).

They agreed it isnt clear I moaned about it alot as it seems it was a blank cheque for the meals?!

So ive saved myself one increase but it seems to be coming all at once at the moment [:'(]
