    I'm scared of lots of insects but moths don't bother me.I tend to think they get bad press, their colourful "cousins" the butterflies are seen as beautiful but really moths are just the same.

    But I know they scare many people, even my H.We seem to get a lot of Poplar Hawk Moths in our house in the summer (picture below if you feel brave). It looks fairly normal until you realise the biggest one we've had was nearly 9cm across.H wouldn't believe it was a moth and wouldn't touch it, the wimp.

    Moth phobia. Oh no not me. Nope. Not even the teeny little evil fu ckers that hover just out of sight then get you when you go to shut the curtains.

    Butterflies= day moths <shudder>

    Horrible fluttery things <shudder>

    almost as bad a butterflies - at least moths don't try to lull you into a false sense of security with their pretend nicey nicey pretty colours approach before they flutter into your face and mess with you

    That is exactly what I call them. Evil fuckers. I used to live in the country and I once saw one on the window (the outside, thank God) that had actual glowing eyes and a body the width of a pencil. With fur.

    I scared of anything that has more than 4 legs, when h2b goes offshore I contantly worry that a beastie will appear and I won;t be able to get rid of it. Last time he went away a massive spider ran across the bedroom floor and I was scared to walk around barefoot for ages.

    Butterflies are ok as they're normally outside. But moths are little buggers that fly around the house and dive bomb you. I HATE moths, they freak me out and actually make me shudder. My bedroom at one of my uni houses had a moth infestation. Kept getting these little ones fluttering around my tv. I moved an arm chair from the corned of the room, the floor under it was covered in hundreds of pod'like chrysalis' - ewwwwww. Luckily it was the end of uni so i only had to put up with them for a while. Makes me shudder now just thinking of it
