Mothe of the Bride/Groom gifts

Chippers, 2 April, 2012 at 14:49 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hello,

Just a quick one if I may please, we would like to get the mums something to keep as a gift for the wedding rather then the usual flowers that will get thrown away after a week !

Any ideas would be very gratefully recieved !

Many Thanks,

I'm gettin them both the typical flowers, and then getting them an engraved vase each to use again. I'm also getting my mum a bracelet and earrings as she has been a huge support and FMIL has......not been a huge support, so want to get my mum something extra x

We are giving our mums these. I was really pleased with them when they arrived and I think they'll both really like them. And they were very reasonably priced too!

We are getting OHs dad a crystal whisky decanter set, nothing for his mum, and my mum will get a Beautiful Mum journal, Mother of the Bride robe and slipper set, her silk corsage to keep, and having a silver bracelet engraved for her.

Ours had jewellery and flowers, as well as lots of treats in the run up to the day!

(As an aside, chippers, the vintage suitcase is up on the For Sale board).

Just seen this Cricks, thanks for letting me know. Fortunatley we have managed to borrow one for the day, luckily my dad works in a theatre, and we were lucky enough to be given a chance to wonder round the 'prop store' and borrow what we like !

    Thanks again !

For my mum I've put together a little booklet of pics of us from birth to now - did it very easily on photobox:

I've also got my mum and dad tickets to see Sister Act in October, they love the theatre!

Jewellery is always a good bet for mums. I have lots of ideas on my website www.louloubelle.co.uk - colours can be substituted replacing the ivory/white pearls or clear crystals.

A nice piece for a mum would be something like this peacock coloured freshwater pearl design using gorgeous sparkly rondells.

This is a great idea. I have always worried about the time spent creating a Photo Book until I found these guys who offer a 5-minute Photo Book on their site, really cool. It really did take less than 5 minutes to create!
