Mr and mrs letters

Cheeky_pie, 28 January, 2011 at 11:42 Posted on Planning 0 5

We have both decided that we dont want to have flowers on our top table. We really want to have the large wooden letters which spell out mr and mrs. I had seen them on ebay but can now only find individual letters on there. Does anyone know where i can source these for cheap i have seen some on other web pages but they are like 50 quid!!!

There was a thread about them recently - if you are going to paint them give them a spray of grey or white primer first before spraying with the appropriate colour to match your colourscheme (if required).

You should find wood primer cans in any half decent DIY shop, and for paint Halfords will probably do a close match (Hunter green, our colour, is almost identical to British Racing Green for example), or DIY shops might be able to do a 'colour match' from a sample if they have that computer setup that many do; this may end up being a tin rather than a spray but a decent brush should mean a good coat is easily achieveable.

Love Letters – www.lovelettersdirect.weebly.com do all the priming / painting / finishing for you – handpainted letters in any colour from £4 a letter – much cheaper than notonthehighstreet etc.
