Music help needed

tams1966, 21 May, 2009 at 19:33 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi,

I know there has already been posts on here about music for the ceremony but we had an urgent letter today from the registrar

We have got to give a list of all music and readings we want by the 5th June.

The only possibles we have come up with so far are:-

Entrance - Bridal March by Jonathan Cain

Walking out - The Greatest Day by Take That ...H2B not too keen on having this.

Signing register - Man and wife - Michelle Featherstone

Still not sure on any of the above really.

Any help would be appreciated.

?

Tracey

Sorry forgot to say its a civil wedding so not allowed anything religious

Hiya, not sure if this is any help or not but thought I'd post anyway. We're having a piper to pipe me down the aisle and both of us back out again. We have made a cd up for some songs to be played pre-ceremony and for signing the register.

    Here are the songs:

    Greatest day - Take That

Time of your life - Green Day

Someone like you - Van Morrison

One day like this - Elbow

The blowers daughter - Damien Rice

I'd wait for life - Take That

Let's get married - The Proclaimers

    Then for signing the register...

    Heartbeats - Jose Gonzalez

Somewhere over the rainbow - Kamakawiwo'ole

First time ever i saw your face - Stereophonics

Hope this might give you some ideas!

Hi I would change your post title to help with music to encourage relevant readers. I had trupet voluntary to go down the aisle and the traditional wedding march going out.

    Hi Tracey,

The problem with choosing music is that when it comes time, often people's minds go blank, yet funnily enough we all kind of know our favourites. ?

Aaanyway, we have a section on our Wedding Blog dedicated to the wedding ceremony: Wedding Ceremony Music. There are a couple of posts on there at the moment, but I'll make sure that we get more content on there soon.

    All the best
