Muslim influences for my wedding

A slightly difficult one as most of the Muslim weddings I've been to have been segregated...... but some ideas - henna - whether you have henna designs drawn on you or on your cake could be one idea.

As you know Muslim cultures vary - are we talking Arabic influences? African? Indian/Pakistani etc. Arabic immediately makes me think of camels, sand, Arabic coffee pots...the whole Arabian Nights type thing, Arabic mezzes for the evening......... African......hmmmmmmm............ not sure - Indian/Pakistani - look at saris for inspiration for colours/decor.

The Middle East Weddings I have attended won't provide much inspiration I'm afraid - bad food, over made up brides (very scary look), lots of posh evening dresses and bling...........

I am impressed with your experience. U made me dream about the Arabic influence. actually the theme itself its easy, I am sure that I could do sth very nice. I am a detail oriented, plus I have a strong European background so hopefully the segregation thing wont be too much of an issue at my wedding

We will have to wait and see. The only problem is where to find affordable accessories and so on. Its a matter of time ! but still excited about every single step!!
