My Crystal Shoes ****FLASH****

Sparkly Bride, 4 September, 2011 at 17:18 Posted on Planning 0 25

So I really wanted some crystal shoes but not the price tag with them. I decided to have a go at doing my own. Do you thing they are good enough for my wedding day?? I will not be offended in the slightest as it hasn't cost me much as I found some white shoes in my wardrobe I have never wore. It is only my first attempt so hopefully will get better at it xxxxxxxxxxxxx

No I used a glue from hoobycraft that dries clear. My sister has the hot fix glue gun and said it can be messy. I bought a gem picker up as well as some of the crystals I used were really tiny and fiddly to pick up xx

Excellent. I have found a really plain pair of Royal Blue peep toe stilletos (£9.99 in priceless or somewhere like that) and want to bling them up a bit.

They really do look awesome. x

Ah thankyou!! If I can do it any one can. Seriously I am rubbish with anything artistic. They looked fab when just the heel was done. My bridesmaids have asked me to do their heels for the wedding day. I just was hoping they looked "nice enough" and not to homemade xx

    They're beautiful. I think I'm in love!

This is my new favourite quote. Fact. And I hope you don't mind me using it, but I actually need to drop that into a conversation somewhere.

I love what you've done - they look amazing.

I too was thinking about buying a coloured pair and making them sparkly. What were the sparkles meant for / where did you get them from?

I bought the crystals from ebay. I have just tested them on a pair of white shoes I have never worn so if they went wrong I havn't lost much money wise. If you are going to do them in clear crystals you will be better with white or ivory shoes as you will have some tiny tiny gaps and will not be able to see them xx

Sparkly Bride - can you remember roughly how many crystals you used to each shoe?
