My Dress

Yay! fab feeling isnt it? Which one did you get?

I already had a dress but have been having wobbles about it for a while, so today I decided to buy another one and I am so happy I did, it suits me so much better than my other one. I can't find a picture of it anywhere though, and didn't take a picture of me in it.

Its soooo exctiting!! I'm going on monday for the first time and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Have you any sneaky flashes to share????

It will take 5-6 months but I have got ages until I get married so it's fine. x

My quest continues .........

I'm planning on getting married next august (need to confirm venue !!). Thinking need to start looking now as I think it may turn into a nightmare as I have an idea what I'd like but not sure of what will suit me. So figure allowing loads of time will make it much less stressful - plus factoring in the 5 month wait if I order from a shop. It must be a great feeling knowing you have the dress!!! You can take your time with accessories now can't you. Have you decided on bridesmaids dresses?? (if you're having any that is).

I went to 2 dress shops today, one had lots of dresses to choose from (I hardly liked any!) and the other looked like it had next to no choice, (about 30 dresses) but I think in the end I tried most of them on. I would say go with an open mind. I am quite fussy but found a lovely one! Where is your nearest town cloud? I tried on a few styles in one shop until I found the shape I loved, then when I knew the shape I could choose different designs around the shape. It's a lot of fun and you don't need to buy anything so you have nothing to lose by going early.

I also found I liked the same designers over and over again so if you like the look of a designer then maybe find a bridal shop that stocks that designer and go and give it a try!

My sister is my bridesmaid so I have given her a picture of my dress and will let her have free run a bit I think as she'll love that. xx

I'm booked into a shop in my local town Monday.. I sort of know the girl who owns it and a really good friend of mine knows her and one of the girls who work there really well so I'm hoping they will all point me in the right direction!! My daughter who is my bridesmaid (shes 16) is coming as well. Will see how Monday goes then schedule in some other shops I think. I'll post something on Monday and let you know how it goes x
