My dress arrived!! flash

It arrived, and went to try it on today. It fits like a glove, I just need the train shortening and detachable cap sleeves making, but the size is perfect. I've been told not to put on a single millimetre though (which is fine, I gain weight in winter and lose it in summer)

Here are some pics (it doesn't hang quite right because I had some caught on the box, but you get the idea...)

Thanks girls, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I wanted sthg simple, suitable for the beach, and although this is a bit glam, it's all chiffon so very light and floaty. I love it! ?

Katscamel - yes, it's just about beach-suitable. I was going to go simpler, but fell in love with this one. So princessy but still simple-ish.

Lynsey - yes, it's about 6 layers of silk chiffon so it's all floaty and swooshy, very light and will flutter in any breeze. I had a more traditional silk dress first time round, so wanted sthg different. I think it's lovely, and not bad for a nearly-40 second time bride!

Really?! I'll have some of your face cream or whatever you use then please! Wouldn't have put you at near 40! The dress is so lovely - will be perfect for Zanzibar.

OK OK I'm nearly 38, and will be when I get married. Just preparing for the big 4-0 so it's not a shock when it arrives! But yes, I FEEL 10yrs younger in that dress (suppose I should stop girly-gloating now shouldn't I?)

None of this nearly 40 business please Ms Zanzibar - I'll be 38 on the day we get married!!! At least it'll make being that bit older less scary.

We'll be leaving Zanz on the day you get married but maybe we could meet for a drink the day before?
