My dress is here *Flash*

minimorecambe, 27 April, 2013 at 10:56 Posted on Planning 0 14

I ordered a BHS Octavia dress on the off chance that I would like it as I got it for a very cheap price.

Although I already have my dress I tried this on today and I love it!

A few photos, please excuse me looking rough as I am a little run down of late. (It isn't laced up as I couldn't do that on my own)

It needs taking up and in at places. And how the hell will a bustle be fitted?!

    I love it ?

I think I may have to have some of the netting take out of it though as it all feels a bit heavy and needless.
I will wear a hoop to keep the shape and keep it away from my legs.

Yeh I was thinking of taking it off originally but it isn't as cheap looking as it looks on the internet so I will keep it ?

I think it needs to lose some netting because I can not see how it will be put in a bustle otherwise

Where the train is brought up to the dress so that it isnt stood on etc

You can have it in different ways - an example

I took my dress to a seamstress today to see how much it will cost to get the alterations done.

These consist of - removing a lot of netting underneath the dress as it is very bulky, taking the satin and tulle underskirts up, taking it in at the waist and hips and adding a bustle.

She quoted me £100 for everything. I can't wait to see the changes.

Sounds fab(re Bustle)My dress has a train also, but the only option I was given at the dress shop was a loop which I can put round my wrist when I want to dance. hmm made me think now.... :-)
