My favorite shoes are hideous

sazelbean, 2 April, 2009 at 22:03 Posted on Planning 0 15

I thought i found my perfect wedding shoes... the nicest by far i have seen anywhere. So i ordered them (internet) and they came today.

They are horrible!!! A nasty yellowy colour (should be ivory), like they have been in a shop window for 10yrs, the diamontes have been glued on using what looks like a hot glue gun and the material is wrinkled and wonky around the seams.

Thank goodness i can send them back. Serves me right for ordering off the net i guess.. just really struggling to find any on the high street.

Sorry, just a bit gutted and needed to moan ☹️

x

Oh no thats such a shame. Its so exciting when you get a delivery isn't it - v disapointing for them to be horrible.

I ordered a couple of pairs on the internet, from different places, both of which were lovely so maybe you were just unlucky with that particular pair/manufacturer/supplier.

    Good luck with the search.

Have you tried elegantsteps.co.uk? I ordered a couple of pairs from there and ended up keeping one of them. Found they had loads to choose from and they'll even dye them for you if needs be. I'd been looking everywhere!

I had the same thing. I ordered some (whay I thought) perfect flat shoes from Boden and when they arrived I was really dissapointed, they looked so cheap and tacky. I've edned up falling in love with some gorgeous flat ones from Next and they only cost £20 which is a bargin as they look so much more!!!

    don't give up

Shoes gggrrrrr! I hate shoe shopping i have really short fat feet, I need a size 3 but have to go to a 4 for the width so its always a mission! I ordered some from Littlewoods. they are Ivory peep toe with a diamonte Buckle. We had to order fours pairs before we got some that didnt have stones missing or dodgy glue near the soles of the shoe.

Finally got them and they are a great fit and heel height but think i might have gone off them slighty with all the hassle!!

If any of you guys are near Reading, there is a fab shop called Mirakel in Caversham http://www.mirakel.co.uk/ who do loads (and I mean loads) or shoes. Unfortunately they don't have a good website, but I can vouch for how good the shop is - it's where I got mine.

    HTH!

HH (a very, very old time WPer ?)

Thanks everyone, they are from a popular shoe website (on here anyway) so i don't want to say where they came from as i think maybe i was just unlucky!!

Was only my first pair so by the sounds of it i shouldn't worry until i've tried a few! lol

I was just after a low heel pair with a closed toe in ivory with a little detail, however i've just seen a pair of silver crystal covered courts in the new brides mag that i'd love - bit pricy at £1,500 tho!!!!

    xx

£1.500 is just that little bit pricey 😲, what about these? http://www.directdresses.com/prod_dresses.asp?refid=739&code=Lady&cat=Accessories, I got them for my BM who wasn't confident in stilletto's, they are a low heel and she says they seem to be pretty comfy and easy to walk in even though she did only have them on for about 10 mins 🙂

Debs - those are my shoes!!!!! (i only paid 45 tho)

Gutted they came they way they did. Tempted to order from somewhere else and see if they come different but if they are same shoes it won't make any difference will it ☹️

but thanks - what shoes have other people got, and have you a comfy pair for the evening??

    xx

When I seen those shoes in the shop there was no discolouration at all, they were perfect ivory (well compared to their ivory dresses in the shop anyway), have you tried another supplier?, I have dyed mine now so can't really post a pic for you to compare ☹️

Your shoes are on the site that aurelia74 has suggested, a little more expensive but worth a try if they are the ones you want
