My first attempt at a mood board

Sophie(B2Bsept11), 11 January, 2011 at 21:55 Posted on Planning 0 28

Hi All,

I have finally put together a board of the things I have booked/bought so far. Sherrie makes them look so easy but it has taken me hours.

Please share yours, I love a good flash.

    Charlotte,

I bought it from The Wedding Party in Norwich. Thought it was a bit different to the usual guest book. They have a online shop as well.

Love the pinks and purples! I wish I had a choice in our colour scheme but we both knew from the start that it had to be red!

    Here is mine:

    OHs clothing and bits

I've seen lots of these with different wording, mum, wedding etc but I made one! Just got a long frame and stiff bit of card, templated the word on it and cut it out with a craft knife then put photos behind it so you could see them. I made it for my gran with her name on it.

    Yes I'm getting married there!

Was going to have it as just the reception as i wanted to get married in a church but because OH has been married before i can't ☹️

So we decided to look at Cheadle house

We went for the exclusive use as we have family coming up from Wales & Somerset so it made sense

Cathy said they do lots of wedding fayres with everything set out as it would on the date can't wait to see it!

    Yeah a venue buddy.

We have gone for the exclusive use as well as family/friends are all over the country. Thats what swayed us to book, such a nice idea and I think guests will appreciate it as it's quite costly just to be a guest.

Hopefully will make it to one of the fayres to see it all set up. We did go when a wedding was being set up, but it was exremely mimimal ( sorry if that sounds bitchy) so couldn't get a real feel what it would look like.

    When you getting married?

How are you girls putting these together? I have lots of images saved on my computer. I have a mac, which is old, my copy of photoshop died otherwise I'd have done one by now!

How are you girls putting these together? They look great. I'm going for purple too with orange accents (I think!) My copy of photoshop died when I upgraded my OS. Any suggestions?! For a mac user....

Whoop venue buddy, wonder how many of them there are on here?

No it's not bitchy, i know what you mean, i've not been to a fayre yet but i do want to see it set up, then i can get an idea of what bits from my theme i want in the decoration.

The exclusive use is fab for the guests it means everyone can relax,

We're getting married July 14th next year.

Can't wait to see your pics from your wedding though ?

I did mine on Olioboard. It makes it really simple, you just get the files from your computer and shape, crop, frame them. Its free as well, also a bonus.

If I can do one, anyone can. Good luck and post when its done.

Flow, I have some unpainted ones from Ebay - just got some red paint to pop on them. They were very cheap - £12 something from this seller:

I thought I'd share my first go at it too, I used Olioboard which was really pretty good and allowed me to create something a little messy which is rather apt, this was a literal brain dump!

Am loving seeing everyone else's ideas, so many different ones, so personal, love it.
