Yay! I'm glad you're thinking of joining. It's nice to have someone to talk to and compare aches and pains with ?.

I really must take a towel or something to cover my car seat with next time as a muddy and wet bum does not a clean car make ?

Can I ask you ladies a question?? What's the biggest you've seen someone there?? I am er, rather large, and would love to give it a try but am really really worried about being the biggest there. It goes without saying I am v unfit. I would struggle to run much with my bulk - is there much running??

I am a big girl, size 18 most of the time sometimes a 16 if i am lucky. there is a lot of running but there was a girl there today who just fast walked while everyone else ran, not sure if that was through injury or that she was large. you certainly wont feel out of place, everyone is really encouraging.

She was there last week as well and just fast walked. She did say she was getting fitter though.

Sciver, you just do what you can. I can't do situps as I have a bad back so I just did something else whenever everyone else did those.

I just said to my H that this is the first time ever I have actually enjoyed exercise. I love getting wet and muddy! ?

Well done Claires. I survived my second session last night and I'm not aching tooooo much this morning.

I'm hoping to go 2 or 3 times a week, depending on what else is going on - bring on the looser clothing please!

To those of you wondering, the instructor last night really was looking for quality not quantity of effort and he kept shouting out to work at our own pace and keep things steady and controlled.

I was pretty slow on most things but this didn't matter. He could see I was working hard so he was encouraging when he loomed over me whilst I was lying on the ground doing sit ups!

Do you have to do the fitness tests or do you just do them when you feel like it. they are once a month arent they? i certainly wouldnt want to do one yet. i know how unfit i am i dont need to be told....especially after last night!

i am off for a long soak in the bath in a bit as i am back at BMF tomorrow night and at the moment i am struggling to walk?

They were optional the fitness tests and we decided not to do them last night. It was quite a tough session last night lots of running up and down hills but good fun, we are going tomorrow too. The aches and pains have greatly improved the more times we are going with is good because I could harldy move after my 1st session. Today I am just slightly achy.

Yaaaay! I am so pleased so many people are doing this.

Sciver, there are plenty of larger ladies, and men, in my sessions. You will not look out of place I promise you. I am still one of the more unfitter ones in my class and I am starting to feel an improvement. My main worry was my breathing as I was getting out of breath so quickly, but even that has improved.

I have started to gain muscle, haven't lost weight yet, but I haven't cut down my eating yet ? I have too many stressful things going on to worry about that! I have brought some scales though, so will start weighing myself once a week or so.

Thanks all for the encouragement. Now just got to be brave enough to go on my own (none of my friends will even try it claiming they are too unfit to give it a go - dur yes, that's the point, it turns you from unfit to fit and it doesn't happen by sitting on the sofa saying "I'm too unfit". Grrr).

MH - I am in South London/North surrey area. If anyone fancies giving it a go around this way???
