My Fitness Pal

Is anyone else using this? How have you found it?

I've just signed up, need to lose 3st before the wedding - put 3st on in a year - ouch!

My user name is 22TwoDucks, please add me as I'd love some more motivation! Will be starting when I'm back from France on Thursday!

    I do - I've lost 1st 3lbs so far this year, and I'm trying to lose at least another two before the wedding! I'll add you. There is some more talk about it in the weight loss support thread in off topic as well.

    I've been using it for a year and a bit, and I really like it. I am pretty much at my target weight now, but I still use it to keep track of my calories each day.

    My best tip is to weigh your food. I appreciate that is not a nice thing to do, and it does make you seem obsessive about food. But if you do it for the first few times you eat a different item, then you will know what a portion actually looks like in your bowl, and I found that really helpful. I find that the recommended portion is actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

    Thanks BexBoo, I will start doing that, I'm awful with portion sizes, I have the same as OH and he's 6ft 3!!

    I LOVE myfitnesspal. I don't always use it religiously but it has taught me so much about what calories are in what so now even when i'm not using it I have a fair idea of how i'm doing.

    I have it paired with my Withings wifi scales, my fitbit and runkeeper so it keeps track of my weight and exercise automatically.

    I am beckifitzg if you want to add me Smiley smile I only have one random friend :p

    I've been using it for a year and lost 30lbs along with my fitbit. My name on it is SnowRose28. It's great for showing you how many calories are in things and helps me eat so much better now.

    I'm on it, haven't used it in a wee while but will add you because i'm being more strict with myself now, could use the extra motivation and like seeing other people on the journey with me haha Smiley smile

    This apps is the dogs boll****!! ha ha!! Honestly this together with the hairy dieters book you will loose wait easily! And it stays off!! I love this app, it even gives you encouragement if you havent signed on for a few days!!

    Am back today from hols in the land of cheese and wine so all ready to go! It was 7 months on Tues until the wedding so hopefully enough time to make a real difference!

    I don't know how to add someone but feel free to add me, it's mai_taylor. I started using it again on Tuesday, trying to loose some weight before I start trying on dresses.

    Does anyone else find it easy to stick to the calories in the week but really hard at the weekends?
