My H came home with a surprise tonight

Zo, 1 July, 2008 at 22:39 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 90

He told me earlier in the week that someone at work was selling some kittens. And I told him I really wanted one. He said we couldn't have one. I sulked and he just wouldn't talk about it anymore. He came home today with this...

Now we need some name ideas, its a girl BTW.

Oh, she's lovely! We're not the best people to ask for names... we were hoping to get two cats and call them Turnip and Onion! In the end we just got the one and she's called Truffle.

Actually, we really wanted to have two cats and call them 'Your Cat' and 'My Cat', just so we could have confusing conversations with neighbours.

    Neighbour: 'Is that your cat?'

    Us: 'No, it's My Cat'

    Neighbour: 'That's what I said'

Us:'No, you said is that Your Cat. Your Cat is over there'

    Neighbour 'But I don't have a cat'

    and so on ?

    Very cute ?

i always thought delta would be a good name for a dog (as their police call sign is delta...d for delta d for dog...)

so in the same vein i recommend charlie (or charley) ?

    Awwww, what a cutie.

Now for names - she has the exact same markings as my friends puss, so i can only think of her name, Pepsi !

My Mum is thinking of getting another cat - she is going to see some kittens at the weekend. I can't wait. I'm horribly allergic to them but love them all the same.

Your hands will be in some mess for a few weeks - kitty scratches, ouch!

Thanks for the suggestions, none seem to be grabbing us so far. I always find it so hard to name animals. When I was little my hamster was called shit head ?

Delilah? It's my new favourite name for a cat. My mum has some new chickens and I asked my 3 year old what she would like to call them and she said Julie and Barbara...

My friend used to have a cat called ceefer.

i would like to call a cat Delilah too. My son wants a cat and he wants to call it Gary, regardless of sex!

    Minstrel?

I used to have a cat called Star. Loved her.

What a cutie! Our black and white rescue cat was called Mittens by her previous owners as she's got white paws. It's been shortened to Mitz by us though as it doesn't sound so twee.

Ours is called Cat but gets called a range of names including Toast - as in "knock over that window box one more time and you'll be TOAST!".

    Waaaahh!! Love it!

Our latest edition (all 12 lbs of him) is called Tex. Short for Texas. Due to where he was born!

But he is often called (in private) [extremely un-pc] Big Black Ba$tard [/extremely un-pc] - because he's huge, he's completely black, and he's a littlemassive bugger!

    (waits for the slating)
