My head hurts

Dopper2, 26 April, 2009 at 09:20 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

Owww. Not a hangover, oddly. I got concussed on Thursday afternoon and I'm still really unsteady on my feet, dizzy and a bit nauseous (sp?). I don't often have a hangover on the weekend, so I'm reminded of just how grim it feels to have one...

️☕️Here's tea and sympathy to anyone with a hangover (or concussion after effects!)

How awful, you poor thing! Is someone looking after you? How long should these after effects last for? And <nosy question alert> how did you concuss yourself?

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Ouch, poor you. I hope you went to the hospital to get it checked out, concussion is nasty - my sister still gets flashing lights following a nasty knock.

    Take care ?

Aww, thanks for the concern. I'll be fine, I'm sure - I was bundled off to hospital and checked out, as I woke up there, rather confused. I was having a fabulous day at Silverstone on my motorbike when another rider took me out (he's fine - he walked away). Occupational hazard of the sport I'm afraid, so I'm pretty philosophical about it, especially as I'm grateful to have pretty minor injuries in the scheme of things. I last had a road bike off 13 years ago, so I can't complain really. Sadly, the bike is definitely no more, with the front forks having been forced into the engine casing and the whole frame bent I'm told. Sob...

I was feeling a bit miserable and sorry for myself this morning, but I'm actually much perkier this afternoon. I'm now able to put some weight on my leg now, making the crutches easier to use, so I'm well on the way to recovery. SLD - I think it was you who said your sister is still suffering post concussion - sounds nasty. Hope she gets better soon.
