My husband is a nuisance

I (I now realise) somewhat foolishly bought MrA a Spit the Dog puppet. It was an impulse buy as I was ordering my friend a "Make your own Morph". ANyway, he's fucking torturing me with it. It's just poked its head around the door and scared the shite out of me. I'm such a sucker.

We have little people. They make him do certain things and move stuff. They also apparently do not like me much. And the cat can see them.

I remembered another of my husband's 'entertaining jokes'. Whenever we are walking alongside each other and we have to go round something like a lamp post, and my husband goes around one side while I go around the other - he always stops walking and hides behind his side of the lamp post so that I end up walking on a few steps by myself.

When we first got together, I used to stop and go back for him. Now I just keep walking like nothing's happened and let him catch up.

Hmmm, age 7 - I'd go for the LEGO CITY range, it's not too technical. Mind you, the playsets are quite expensive. The current theme for LEGO CITY is Emergency Services, you could get him a Fire Truck, that's quite fun and not too difficult to put together. Or if he likes Indiana Jones or Star Wars, there are quite a few products in there for his age range.

You can indeed get Sticklebricks - I did a product recall for them last year when all the stickles refused to stay on the bricks ? No kiddies died, you'll be glad to know. All perfectly safe. Honest.

if we ever have a child we've promised to call it Sticklebrick....

and also thank *** for the clues here, I had this awful sinking feeling that you might be in recruitment and we'd first meet over my CV ?

? oh god, do I give out an impression of being a recruiter? Nothing could be further from the truth ?

Sticky for short. I like it. A good name, no mileage at all for school bullies.

No not at all, i was just thinking 'at least i don't know anyone who works in recruitment here' and then 'oh no what if FW does?'

Stickles not staying on the bricks? Outrageous.

I think I saw a coastguard lego - I might get him that then. Everywhere seems just to sell scary looking robots.

Sticklebrick is an excellent name Legless. As is Weeble.

I'd be rubbish at it. So if I ever change career suddenly and go for it, please don't come to me for work, it'll be the end of your career as you know it ?

You have to be careful of lamposts. Apparently they're quite menacing creatures and can leap out at innocent passers-by without warning. When they leap out and attack you, it feels like your OH has just pushed you into a lampost. They seem to prefer attacking women, specifically me.

I am advised that postboxes, litter bins and other street furniture have similar tendancies.

My husband always tells me it's the invisible banana poking/tickling/annoying me! And I get told off for squashing the invisible banana! He also hides around the house and jumps out on me and pretends to be a puppy and crawls over wagging his tail and panting! What a loon! I love the chess story!

Mmm - i was just going to ask mr j if he could remember the first time we slept together to answer clairy's thread - he was hiding in the kitchen and saw my reflection in the window and jumped out and scared me

he is still laughing (5 minutes later) and chortling about how my face looked like the girl out of the exorcist

i hope he can remember the first time - it may have to keep him warm for a while

    git ?
