❤ My MOH so much

~Curley~, 29 October, 2013 at 22:58 Posted on Planning 0 7

Been looking at hen ideas for a while. Decided we are going to go abroad for the weekend. Somewhere abit different to the usual, such a Budapest, Nice, Belgium ect. Anyway, been getting stressed looking and cannot decide where to go ( me n the bridal party are all to chilled for our own good and just keep saying wherever lol) I jokingly said to the BMs that they should do it n surprise me, the BMs laughed it off but my MOH very excitedly took it on! Usually I'm not one for surprises and hate not having some control but she is my best friend and I know she will arrange something amazing that I will love. Feels such a relief to have one less thing to organise and also a little excited/flattered that she wanted to do this for me ?

I know a lot of people's BMs/ MOH are doing this and wondered how you felt about it. Will everything be a complete surprise? I'm chuffed to bits and love that its all a surprise (I'm not suprised often as OH is crap at keeping things to himself lol)

    Hi Curley!

How great of you MOH doing it for you, I think we've seen our share of stress BMs/MOH can put on a bride when they tend to go astray on their ideas ?

I don't have BMs/MOH as such, but I handpicked 3 of my closest friends to organize it for me.

At the moment it is supposed to be a surprise (as I don't really mind what we do as long as the bunch of us are together) but not sure they will be able to keep the secret!

It is great to let go of the planning a bit and let them run free, I am a control freak too, so I know exactly what you mean!

Don't forget to come back and let us know what your surprise was!

I love the fact that my BMs are planning my Hen Do. I know my sisters will do an amazing job and from what i can tell that have really pust loads of effort into it. They know exactly what i like and wont do anything tacky.

I know the location because i kinda made a list of places i would like to go but thats it. I just get emails with dates of when money has to be paid and then a lot of "ha ha ha ha ha ha ha's" at the bottom or comments like "you should be very worried" ha.

I have never had a surprise organised for me ever, like yours my OH isnt good at surprises ... at christmas he always says "i got your present today, i got you ____" and tells me!! But this i know is going to be a full on surprise and I cant wait!!!!! Only 12 weeks to go.

    Hadn't finished my post!

I only told my MOH on Sunday that we had got engaged and in the same conversation she asked about colour of BM dresses and of course the hen do. We haven't even set a date yet! I have known her since we were in reception and we've told each other on many nights out after a few drinks that we would be each other's MOH. She can be a bit scatty and - dare I say - unreliable at times, but I know I can count on her when it really matters.

Let us know what she plans for you, when can we look forward to an update?

When we were getting married at home I had a moh and 3 bridesmaids and then when we changed it too a an abroad wedding unfortunately only one bm can make it so decided to not to anying if cant have them all which they took it all well and understood I was soo happy and then to top it off they still planned my full hen weekend it was all surprises i just knew the location and how many nights and it was the best weekend and a weekend I will never fully remember but also never forget. I am very lucky!

As read here numerous times the extra stress moh or bms can cause and i think it's lovely your moh will plan your hen night, and I can't wait to return the favour to my girls and hope to do as good as Job they did for me!!

I feel the same. Can not wait for them to get married so I can arrange/do lovely things for them. My bms/MOH have caused me no stress at all. Just been mega excited and really helpful. I realise I am very lucky and some do not have the same luck. When they get married I will be the best bm/ MOH ever! Hehehe

I've let my MOH organise my hen do too! She's always organising day trips and weekends away, and she loves it, I know she won't let me down, and like you say it's nice to have one less thing to stress about! I sure hope she pulls it out the bag for you! The only information I have to supply is the hen do guestlist and she said she'll take care of the rest. She has hinted at a treehouse getaway somewhere... I'm intrigued to see what happens, but like you I have quite the wait. I'm up for anything though, and have not pre conceptions whatsoever!
