My son has finally gone to sleep for more than 2 minutes so I have quickly writtena report.
Well Friday 17th December was finally my big day! Me and mum stayed in the bridal suite the night before and were up watching the grinch
at 2.30 am ?
Finally got to sleep at about 4, back up for 7 lol. We managed to go downstairs and eat the biggest cooked breakfast ever,
really didn't enjoy it as I was starting to feel really really nervous!
We got back to our room at about 9am and I swiftly opened a bottle of bucks fizz and got into a very bubbly jacuzzi (just what I needed). When I got out
and was about to start doing my hair I realised I had left my brush at home! Luckily the best man was only round the corner
in town so he swiftly came round and bought me 2 brushes.
Me and mum went to reception at about 11 to put the cake out and leave out tables for buffett and sweetie station, started to get very
very excited!!
Got back to suite just in time for my makeup artist and 4 bridesmaids, that's when it really kicked in that I was about to get married! My 4 month old niece was there so all the oohs and aahs over her were a very welcome distraction to relax me lol. My photographer arrived at about 1 and documented us getting ready
(can't wait to see the pictures). She kept commenting on how we were the most relaxed bridal party she had ever seen......we were too busy listening to music and drinking bucks fizz lol.
Next thing I knew my makeup was done, my hair was done and my dress was on! Cue my dad knocking on door looking very dapper indeed. I looked at the clock and realised there was half an hour until I had to leave......my mum wasnt dressed and my nails werent on. Here came the mad rush hahahaha. Manged to be ready 5 minutes early and the mercedes driver commented on how it was the first time a bride had been ready when he got there lol.
My bridesmaids and mums made their way to church and me and dad got in the bridal car, BOOM.........................we got stuck in so much traffic lol. We finally got to the church and my mum comes running out flapping her arms telling us to keep driving. Turns out half the guests were also stuck in traffic hahaha.
20 minutes later everyone had managed to get in and it was my big moment. Hearing the music come on for walking down the aisle gave me butterflies. As soon as I clapped eyes on OH I couldn't stop smiling, it was amazing. ?
The day was one big happy blur from there, laughter.....me fighting back tears (I was determined not to cry), everyone had a smile on their faces all day. We only had a buffet so I was a but worried about people expecting a 3 course meal, literally every guest commented on how nice the buffet was, I was so happy with our caterers.
I couldn't have asked for a better day and I wish you all the best for your big days :-)
