My skins took a turn for the worse!

MrsG2013, 17 July, 2013 at 07:53 Posted on Planning 0 11

Help fellow brides!!

i get married in 10 days and all of a sudden my face is breaking out in spots - I never get spots!! They're the under the skin bump type and can be quite painful!

it went from 1, to 2 to 9!

Seen as though I no longer have a make up artist I'm a little nervous to say the least.

any solid ways of getting rid of them quick??

thankyou xxx

Drink loads of water, try not to touch your face and avoid make-up if you can

Agree with above, sudocrem over night is a good idea really helps take redness down.

and the hardest- try not to worry! easier said than done I know.

So sorry to hear this - as if you need more stress at this time!! I swear by Boot's Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Spot Wand. It will often get rid of a spot before it comes up if you know what I mean?

Oh, and loads of water and cut down on fatty foods.

Consult skin specialist if you are finding more difficulty and face your wash regularly with clean water...

Please don't jump on me because I know these are bad... But a few short sessions on a sunbed might help. I have really bad cystic acne and nothing helps, at all, except sunbeds. I go for 3 minutes twice a week.

Have you been prescribed anti-biotics by Dr's? I also get cystic acne and they work amazing, currently one a two month course and my skin is lovely! I will find out the name if you like xx

That would be amazing, thank you!! I'm currently waiting for blood tests as my GP wants to rule out underlying issues before prescribing anything, but it's only 1 month til my wedding and I'm worried time is running out!! Make up artist can cover the spots but they're so sore, that's the main problem, they're all around my chin and jaw so thinks like eating and smiling are quite painful Smiley sad

    Thanks everyone!

Works a little stressful to say the least, but luckily the wedding isnt stressing me so no worrying shouldnt be too bad!

I just thought, i used a facial scrub the other day, you know with the beads and bits in? I wonder if that's done it! Wups.

It could have done if it was too abrasive. Sometimes if you over-scrub your skin it produces way too much oil the next day and hey presto spots! Stress probably isn't helping either!

    Hope they get better soon!!

What skin type do you have? Sometimes scrubs can be too harsh in your skin and make it worse. I have just started on the Clinique 3 step an it's amazing! I never had a proper skin care routine in the past and now I'm hooked. It's pricey but they have a trial one for £20. I'm oily/combination and use number 3. Maybe that with all the above comments will help?! Good luck, it must be the most frustrating thing!

    Xx
